ST CLAIR WIN UNDER 13 CHALLENGE

6753323_firstImageIMG.jpg

Congratulations are due to the St Clair Under 13 team for winning the final of the prestigious NSWRL Under 13 Challenge played on the weekend at the NRL game between Manly and New Zealand.
They ran out winners 20-14 after being in front 20-8 in the second half and withstanding a late challenge.
Coach Graham Cross and the players have performed to a high standard right throughout the 2008 season winning all their games and establishing themselves as one of the best Under 13 teams this district has had.
It is a significant honour for the players, the team, the St Clair Club and our district.

Mainly because the only people that can afford to live in the eastern suburbs are 50 + and inherited their money from parents that were library nerds at private schools, and that the kids that actually had to do things in life have settled in the western suburbs and now that is why all the talent is west of Parramatta. Simple.

They will buy slaves from Africa and lock them in underground gyms and brainwash them with vision of the great games in Rugby league History. Then slap tri colours on them.

Yeah that's him, he had a great year - but missed out on 17's developement

St Clair made the grand final and only got 4 in the squad and a few in sg ball for the academy side. Meanwhile ST Marys have double than any other club - that's fair NOT

At that age, it's not whats fair and whats not. They are 16/17 year olds? It shouldn't be split between clubs to make it 'fair'. They should pick the best and pick the combinations.

Tum Silipa got cut all together which is abit of a suprise but his knee is still giving him trouble and I don't think Penrith wanted to mess with him any longer. I know he trialled elsewhere.

What's that fast winger from comets 16/1's gotta do to get in a rep side
- think his name is Josh leslie - does 10.9 in the 100m sprint, doesnt make any mistakes and has heaps of potential ?

Maybe he should start up athletics? 10.9 in 100m is awesome. Could work on it.

They should come to the North Sydney Bears open trials.

mmm I have to disagree there sorry. I don't think he is good enough to be mentioned there.

Who do you think will be in the likely starting side of the Harrold Matthews side selected?

Who will be captain, and who are the players to watch?

That's it. The Gold Coast have already taken Siosaia Vave, John Cartwright knows Penrith is the best junior base there is.

It's been an issue in the Penrith area for a long time now. Because there's so many clubs and so many divisions the selectors only really look at division 1. Thus only 8 clubs are represented for this year. Next year it'll be a different 8 clubs because different clubs will be next years division 1.

Many of the top players playing in the lower divisions move to the division 1 teams to get recognised and play in better teams. But many don't. I can't imagine the ammount of diamond in the rough players have not gone on because they weren't looked at by the selectors.

The players being poached by other NRL clubs makes it an even bigger S**t fight. Penrith are so busy fighting to keep there top player, that many of these other unnoticed players are falling by the wayside.

With the Roosters not putting in a SG ball and Harold Matthews teams in next year all they have to do is sit back and wait to poach, the NRL shouldn't have allowed that.
