I think the niners need and want a genuine pocket passer, not a hybrid

Ab, assuming the niners dont go badly enough to get Luck (which they wont), who do you think they'll go to in the up coming draft?

RG3 is having one hell of a season early for Baylor. Kellen Moore is a good prospect too

I think Harbaugh likes Kaepernick, they invested a 2nd round pick in him so I think he is being groomed to start next season.

Having said all that, it wouldn't surprise me to see him bring in another young QB through the draft, maybe not one of the top guys but someone like Kellen Moore. I love Moore, I know he is too short, too light, too slow, doesn’t have the greatest arm strength and maybe isn’t tough enough to handle and take the pounding of NFL rushers, but he just continues to impress me. His touch and accuracy are uncanny. His ability to see the field and locate the open receiver quickly is amazing. His ability to feel the pressure in the pocket is very good. And I think his arm strength is better than he is given credit for.

Moore is great...but isn't he like 25-26.

Feels like he's been around forever.

I really like the Case Keenum the kid throws it everywhere.

I am starting to really like the Baylor QB - that Robert Griffen III.

Did u see the stat he had? He has more TD's this year...than he has incompletions. That's just crazy.

I know QBs stats in college arent much to bank on but RG3's QB rating is over 200 right now, honest to god, madden like performances. Its absurd what he's doing right now

Isn't the highest QB rating 158.3? Or am I missing something?

Who knows.
There's a new rating on espn which is throws plus efficiency divided by bill simmons teeneolf mail bag refferences or some crap.

I have more stock in "do you win " tbh

Just on the topic of "Do you find yourself prefering american football to league?" i have to say absolutley.

I've always loved my rugby league but now i find i just watch the games and thats it. I don't watch any of the programs around the game, i don't bother reading many news articles on the game etc.. Where as with the NFL i watch as many games as i can, listen to podcasts, read articles from diferent sources - i can't get enough.

Two weeks ago i was in the south in the States and i saw the Packers @ the Falcons from the Georgia Dome (i almost got to the Kentucky @ SCU game but alas). Let me tell you every single thing about the experience was 1000 times better than any league game I have ever been to - and i have been to Tests, Origins (in QLD and NSW), grand finals, semi finals, been a season ticket holder etc.. The detail, the professionalism, the fans, just the event was brilliant (and that is what it was an "event" not just a game) - and it is like that at every game every week!

I've been watching the NFL since exactly 1990.. but it's still a distant second to rugby league for me. I never really start watching it seriously until the league season is over

Possibly the most overated athlete in world sport today, Tebow fans are crazily obsessed
A lot of the time it's because a lot of 'experts' have flat out refused to even give the kid a chance at succeeding.
His mechanics are flawed but they're not that bad, in the limited amount of time that he's played he's done quite well.
If he wasn't so outspoken, religious and had such open determination I don't think he'd be hated as much as he is.
There have actually been a number of quarterbacks similar, but they haven't had zip said or bagged because they aren't as polarizing.
So you have situations where fans of Tebow's are protective as mechanism because you have wankers like Merril Hoge coming out and acting completely unprofessional towards Tebow.

I think he will become a good quarterback, but it won't be in Denver.
The expectations will be impossible.
But believe me when I say, he will succeed...he's not a hopeless case...the supposedly physical flaws in his throwing and play style aren't enough to hold back his determination in the game.

Remind you of someone who also played for the niners a while ago;-)

I think this guy has bust written all over him.
