Parra’s plan for Hayne plane

When Jarryd Hayne returns to Parramatta next season, he won’t be wearing the No.1.

Seven News reporter Josh Massoud claims Hayne will be playing in the centres with Clint Gutherson the preferred option at fullback by Brad Arthur.

This means Hayne will line-up inside Bevan French on the right side of the field despite playing on the left edge at Origin level for NSW.

“He made that number one jersey his own when he was at the club but I can reveal he’ll be playing right centre when he joins the Eels in 2018,” Massoud said.

“That’s a huge tick of approval for Clint Gutherson who starred in the fullback role for Parramatta.

“He’ll be staying there with Bevan French on the wing.”
