Surely there is no way possible that they had $800k left in this years cap. Let's remember that they've added Peats and Hurrell since the season has started. Let's assume $250k - $300k each + the supposed $800k, are we expected to believe that they started the season $1.3-$1.4 million below the cap?

Whatever cap they had left, they've just spent it on The Plane for 5-9 weeks work.

Replaced Myles with Shillington, Sezer with Tyrone Roberts and Ash Taylor. James Roberts with perhaps Nathan Davis maybe? Big difference between Roberts and Davis but the rest would be comparable I'd imagine.

The year before they lost a ton of players (inc Luke bailey and ashley Harrison to retirement).

Who gets on a plane for a day trip to the Gold Coast to only check out their facilities, with no intentions of doing anything but take a look, with very little other than the clothes on their back and signs a deal for the next 2 1/4 years within 8 hours or arriving and waives the standard consideration period when signing?

None of this makes sense to me.
Hayne's "God" moves in mysterious ways...

If it was all about money, why wouldn't he have got back on the plane, went back to Sydney and immediately signed with the Club in Sydney (presumably the Dragons) that were apparently offering more than the Gold Coast?

You never know
what goes on behind closed doors with the Titans.

Have you seen the photos of Hayne's first training session at the Titans?

Here's my favourite one..

Hope we see Jarryd display some of his recent form at fullback for the Titans on Sunday.

Blaming Greenburg for this is f**king laughable. Accept it Delboy - you are (passionately) supporting a club that has been run by a bunch of bumbling, clueless fools and they are the one and only cause of our current predicament - not Grant, not Greenburg, not Beavis.

Our former board has set the club back 5 years in terms of our playing roster - no one else.
Spot on.

WTF is Hayne doing responding to fans? He is a Titan now, there is no need to respond:

Buyers remorse maybe.....

Can't see Hayne's time at the Titans being successful.

He has become far too consumed with Jarryd Hayne the celebrity rather than Jarryd Hayne the athlete.

While I don't dispute your first paragraph, does the one about setting our playing roster back 5 years mean you prefer:

Hayne, Burt, Walker, Morgan, Atkins; McGuire, Robson; Mannah, Keating, Moimoi, Hindmarsh (C), Lasalo,
Smith. Int:Mitchell, Shackleton,Allgood, Horo.(Round 12 2011)
or
Gordon, Radradra, Gutherson, Takairangi, French; Norman, Foran (C); Alvaro, DeGois, Wicks, Ma'u, Scott (C), Moeroa. Int:Pritchard, Terepo,Gower, Edwards (Round 12, 2016)

Andrew Webster on BSB said he had been making "some calls" as he finds it "interesting" Hayne signed with Titans, when the NRL is currently looking for a buyer for the club.

Signing Hayne would definitely help with selling the club.
