Jesus you should read some of the salty comments from some oxygen thieves on Facebook

Enough is enough .kick them out. The sharks always bringing the game into disrepute

Blah blah
We can comfort ourselves in warm blanket of integrity.

At least we have no convicted crims or accused rapists in the squad.

Yep

Our fine has been reduced because of lack of sponsors we now have because Barry brought unnecessary negative attention to us.

That’s already been a lot more costly than any bloody fine!

Cardy, the biggest loss out of all this is Shane Flanagan. Smart recruiter, the best the Club has ever had. Junior system starting to pay dividends and a determination and drive for success for the Club that other coaches before him have rarely shown in the long term.

I am satisfied with the final outcome, hopefully, we can concentrate on football now.

We all know that the NRL is absolutely biased towards certain clubs, there is no need to open discussion on that.

Let me start with this absolute pearler on the Brisbane Broncos website they have the following squads listed -

  • NRL Squad - 30 players
  • Intrust Super Cup - Ipswich Jets - 26 players
  • Intrust Super Cup - Norths Devils - 25 players
  • Intrust Super Cup - Redcliffe Dolphins - 16 players
  • Intrust Super Cup - Souths Logan Magpies - 31 players
  • Intrust Super Cup - Wynnum Seagulls - 32 players
  • TOTAL LISTED PLAYERS - 160 players
To be fair, some may have doubled up, but you have to be kidding me here?

This is EXACTLY the same as the Sharks offering players contracts and spreading them out to all of our Shire Clubs.

How is this is any way fair?

Wow. 160 players and somehow can afford to pay them all fairly?

Play within the NRL rules and you win fharrk all. Stretch the NRL rules you are competitive.

Ignor, break, bend, disregard the NRL rules then you are up there and run with the big boys. Not unlike the NRL we all know who they are.

The joke of the NRL is Easts retention of players ALL under the cap. Yeah ... narhh.

2016 Premiership is set in stone now. They can all go and get well and truly pharrrked.

Quigs agree totally thats why i felt sorry when Eels got caught, all they tried to do was compete on the unlevel playing field, basically if you are not a 1 team town of the Roosters you need to bend and break the rules to compete, how is that fair, where is Greenberg on that.

Make the cap $11m, no third party deals, all contracts to be signed off by NRL, so we dont see some SOO getting paid $300k when worth $500k, publish players contracts.

Give discount for long service

DS lets hope Moxx learnt about recruitment and junior setup, he worked inside the system, understands we dont have mega dollars to thrown around.

Flanno was always great at signing a player where the forum would be against to start and turning him into a great sharks player, i would say Matt prior was the top of that list

So if we need to be $350k under cap, we would need to shed player on around $450k, as he needs to be replaced in squad and paid min i guess around $100k

In summary for me...
More good than bad.

Ive stuck it to Barry. He did dumb in a sport where honesty finshes last but we survived and have a clean slate.

Im cool with flanno moving on. We needed a freshening up and we have it.
The poor bastard didnt deserve that tho. He did great for us.

As said we are one of the few without some sorta sex case over our heads which is noice.

And above all...we have a dynamite backline and a pack of head crackers up front. We will pummel this comp in '19

Moylan will be a superstar this year. An absolute gamebreaker.

Bring this shit on.

The NRL said today after Napa, the next player would be in more serious problems, so now we have a potential Gus vs Greenberg

So let me get this straight, a former director with the boards blessing sets up a spread sheet listing tpas for players that were never paid.

Oh and any current person's still employed in the NRL knew nothing about it so can't be sanctioned.

That's it , seriously ?
