the Beatles/stones 1 - 2 combo wins every time.

however, the poms have put out some of the worst recorded music ever.

That fuggen phil Collins should have a good hard look at himself.

So take a look at me now,
'cos there's just an empty space
And there's nothing left here to remind me,
just the memory of your face
Take a look at me now,
'cos there's just an empty space
And you coming back to me
is against all odds and that's what I've got to face

Seriously, Genesis with Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins were one of the best prog rocks bands of all time.

There was a point where Phil Collins wasn't too bad, then he just became boring. You can throw Sting into that category as well.

True. It's not as good as their old stuff.

But their new stuff is still better than 90% of other bands' stuff imo.

Despite USA having my two favourite bands, RHCP/Pearl Jam, you'd have to have the UK winning.

Did I actually see someone list Linkin Park in the list of US bands?

Linkin Park alone are reason enough for me to vote for the UK in this. Worst band I've ever heard (along with every other nu-metal band).

The Us is also responsible for the atrocious hardcore scene (with only a handful of exceptions). Again, the UK wins.
