Just heard an interview on ABC radio with former head of ASADA (didn't catch his name). Said there are about 150 players in NRL & AFL under investigation. Players have been advised that IF they have something to disclose then do it now and cop a reduced sentence. Anyone found guilty after investigation will cop a 2 year ban. He also said investigation will take a very long time.

there is half a dozen tv crews at the ground and in the leagues club carpark. Seems like they are waiting for something to happen, or anything to happen.

They can film me picking up my members pack if they like.

Brushed my teeth and everything.

dont forget to wear your unmerged shirt !!!

If you read between the lines they're using a scare tactic to lure players out. If they had the evidence to charge players then they would have done so a month ago.

The "investigation will take a very long time" yeah especially if no players come forward because you got jack.

IF there are players that have done the wrong thing, then they need to step up now and take the heat of the rest of the innocent players and the team/club.

I've said all along that they have nothing, at the very least they would have some flimsy evidence on about one or two players and the rest would be a beat up.

Don't give them Jack!!!!

Thanks Newman, though you have been adamant in the last month that we have absolutely nothing to worry about.

Thats what I was told. I actually think thats what the club believed and then a pipebomb went off.

In the background I spoke to someone who has some pretty serious connections at NRL HQ. He said the following:

- Every single club named in the ACCC report has something to worry about. No one is clear.
- The NRL has made a contingency to play season 2013 and 2014 with a reduced number of teams.

How was Danks at Manly for 3 years and they hardly rate a mention? Especially when a particular player, who no longer plays there, was smashing merkins up week after week?

If they fess up to using an undetectable substance that wasn't banned at the time then they are nuts.

This will take forever and the only proof they could get is a he said, take into account appeals after that and they'll all be retired in yepoon with quigs

The investigators clearly have evidence. If they had "jack" as people put it, the advice from our lawyers would be to fight it all the way.

It's text book stuff really. You shake the tree then listen. Then shake some more and listen again.

You offer induced statements in turn for rolling on the others. The golden ticket for those willing to break ranks and turn informant.

Maybe everyone here should just shut up about it. Maybe that's what the players have been told by their legal rep. There's a fine line to being a witness or a suspect.

Everyone chill the f&#k out; The clubs got this.

And that's how it works Greggy. This is standard investigation techniques for any investigative body. It works sometimes and sometimes not. I know this from a previous occupation.

Evidence that they received treatments from dank ?

They certainly don't have any positives to banned substances

 That's more than a little worrying.

This stuff has really made me feel sick. I hate to think what the players are feeling right now...

A 6 month ban would take players to R25....

Plenty more to come. We are not on our own in this.

Yes they would be nuts to fess up to that. Do you believe our club, players, admin and lawyers are nuts? What does that tell you? If people are stood down, we have to accept that it will be for wrongdoing.
