Getting excited. Hitman is one of the franchises I religiously follow. I've completed every single level of every game at least twice. My anticipation for Hitman games is just slightly below my anticipation for GTA and Elder scrolls games.

If the game is as good as it's looked in the previews to date, and fully pushes next gen consoles, it's going to be epic.

Yes I agree. I'm assuming different protagonists will need to be introduced, similar to Assassins Creed and Splinter Cell multiplayer.

Mate... I can no longer watch these videos without craving it even more! I'm itching for this to come out and I cannot wait. I don't care if I have to buy a whole new PC and Graphics cards for this (I won't, but you get it), I'm getting this and I can't remember the last time I anticipated a game like this. After watching that video it looks pretty ordinary IMO. Albeit a beta build the GFX don't look that great, tag kills simply aren't plausible (take out 6 guys before a guy can react?), and the AI doesn't look too intelligent in 'accident' scenarios.

I loved the original hitman games, but from that video it doesn't look like the series has progressed too far. Hope I'm wrong though.

This is what I know so far;

• $88 for the game, only the game.
• $150 for the game, a few extra downloadable maps, and a Agent 47 figurine
• The game is NOTHING like the last game in terms of gameplay etc... it's taken a big leap forward. You can't simply go and kill the target now... you have to infiltrate him. That's what the big difference here will be. Well that and the graphics of course

OPM and OXM both give Hitman Absolution 9/10 - OPM calls it Hitman perfected... best in the series...

Having said that anybody else find it hard to trust month early print reviews for Triple A titles as much as I do...

No way you can trust triple A reviews. Too many cases of paid PR. Word of mouth is my only trusted source.

For me I just dont understand the idea of print media more so for videogames...

They get these reviews a month early (obviously pay for them) because its the only way they can push magazine sales and with devs and publishers being so stingy and tight with their embargo dates with online media why would they say yes to the magazines unless something was organised?

Thats my feeling on it all when you listen to the frustration of online media with the embargos they face.

Hitman though seems the kind of game that will get 8's and 9's though... looks solid...
