nope :(

For some ungodly reason powderfinger fans vote in numbers

Now I laughed off your ridiculous assertion that Tim Friedman can't write songs, but I don't think I can stand for a 'Finger diss :p.

LOL I've given up on dissing powderfinger - nowadays I prefer to bag out their fans ;-)

Woman was last year. I said Powderfinger fans vote in numbers, so close for Gorillaz though. Great to see Datarock in the top 15 with the coolest song though.

All I can say is thank f*** that Ben Lee didn't win. The moment I first heard Wish You Well, I thought that it was a chance of winning the Hottest 100 - perhaps because of the past history with Powderfinger stuff.

In the end, the list pretty much fell to plan - no real surprises, apart from perhaps Kanye West not snaring a top 10 spot, and two Gorillaz songs in the top 5.

the top two songs were the two worst songs in the whole thing.

When I first heard the Fanning song I thought it was a ditty for a commercial.

Apart from that though I thought it was a great hottest 100.

Man, the list just shows how different peoples tastes can be.
For starters, although Wolf Mother are OK, I just don't like their songs that much.

My favourite album this year was Cog - The New Normal. It's great they got 2 songs in the top 100, however in my opinion, those 2 songs (which were the singles released) are not even close to being the best songs on that album. I can think of 4 or 5 better.

Oh well. Better to be unique than a sheep I spose

And tell me if I'm wrong, but was there no sign of Shihad on the list?
After their album this year, that is just wrong

Every year seems to out-do the previous year with the title of 'Worst Hottest 100 Ever' - It's starting to look more and more like the Triple M hottest 100 each year. Do the people who listen to JJJ actually vote in the thing? The only song that i liked which i thought would have a shot at making the top 10 was Gabrielle by Ween, and that came in at 66!

Also, Wolfmother should have their own seperate countdown next time they release an album.

I agree - it's such a predictable list. Where's the variety? Triple J used to pride themselves on being different and playing all sorts of different sh*t but not anymore. And how can a top 100 have so many songs by the same bands?

Bernard Fanning - 2
Ben Lee - 3
Sarah Blasko - 2
Wolfmother - 6!!!

So what they're saying is that there aren't 100 artists worthy of mention from the past 12 months.

Poor list yet again. Used to be interesting in the early days.
