We have Shaun Berrigan playing in this position in international football. They are the roughly the same size aren't they?

burt is better defensively than berrigan, if you watch him he misses more tackles in the centres than burt, but as far as im concerned if burt isnt fullback then he should be on the wing and not the centres

thats why wags should play in the centres next year, he can defend and like matt cooper cant pass

berrigan was a weak link for australia in the centres and his d for the broncos was a let down in the centres imo

I dont like that side.

Burt will be the other centre unless someone steps up and plays their way into the team. He will be there for his goalkicking as well.

If Bennett wasn't the coach, Berrigan would not have enev been in the squad

He didn't deserve to be playing for Australia, and he was very lucky that he and Toni Carroll had a good team around them to cover for them.

I prefer Burty on the wing, as he has good pace

Thats why I didnt understand continually seeing:
2 Graham
3 Burt

The other way around would have been much better.

Well, Burt is just not aggressive enough. Sizewise, he's fine.

McKinnon is just a couple of centimetres taller, butthey both weight the same amount. Yet McKinnon constantly broke tackles.

The reason I think is because of the mentality of both players. Burt sort of gives in to tackles - which is fine for a quick play-the-ball, but not for offloads or busts. Wade fights until the very bitter end in a tackle.

Anyway, the only reason Berrigan played centre was because Bennett is coach - he is not nearly as good as players like Tate, Gasnier or Cooper, yet just 'happened' to be chosen in the centres.

I think it is Burt bashing time again and you've all just jumped on the bandwagon.

Who says that Tahu is a better defender?

Graham isn't a better defender?

And Burt was making plenty of breaks in the first few rounds when he was at fullback.
