A very close source to Girds told a few of us girls that Girds would love to be out there.

Sideline will be close enough though ... for me. :D

That's what I heard too from a source close to Girds...

Jeez i dont get it what happend in the past with adamson no it wasnt pleasant and everyone will complain about it still yet if adamson helps lead us to a premiership majority of supporters will be all over him.

Come on give the guy a break he did what he thought was best for the club though some would say he did it for himself but well i disagree.

But as i said what happend may not have been pleasant but he is back now hoping to lead a great club to victory that club is ours so perhaps we should get behind him give him the chance if he stuffs up he will be gone but until then i support him and id ask everyone else to.

As for how long do we give elliot i believe by the end of next season we should have a fair idea as to what he is doing with us and wether its what we needed

You have to give him a few seasons to turn around the style of play that is tattoed in the minds of the players. 1 pass run 1 pass run .Elliott will bring a slicker faster ball movement to the club. I cant wait quick Q 11okg pass me the ball

Gday all,PI is quiet now all the troublemakers are on holidays!!
I think Elliot should be given free reign, his thinking is fresh and is having a good effect on the players already.
One of the penrith staff members was telling me today when elliott was first introduced to clinton his first words to clinton "Where have you been for the last two years?"
Seems to indicate elliott thinks clinton and a few others have bludged for the past couple of seasons..home truths, hey?:sarcasm:

That's exactly the sort of thing I hope is being said.

Hey Titan.. If I was Clinton, I would have tossed Elliot into the lake head first.

Humiliate a player -nice start Matt.

What about asking Clinton how he thinks he could improve his game?

Sometimes that's just what they need Dave..and I agree with Matt, where the hell has he been the last 2 years??? He showed some heart on a couple of occasions but they were so rare that I couldn't tell you when they were....

I could tell Lainz. It stood out like dogs balls when he put in. ;-)

I would have thought that a question such as "How can you improve your game" would have been asked of every player when they lost a game.

I agree with the others, sometimes you need it to be told in a different light. So personally I hope this is the way Matt is addressing our players forms. It would be a good start on a short road to recovery.

Welcome aboard titan ive missed you mate.

Look humiliating a person in general is not always the best idea especially in front of his mates.

However as i and others have said on pi its time some players and some fans were given a few home truths and matty is the bloke to give em.

The guys need counselling and fitness, not animosity.

But nice to see Titan here, I agree. Cheeky but very funny-a sharp mind.

It's not animosity Dave, it's home truths. They have been sitting backon their lorals since 2004 and it's gotta stop if they want to be a force to be reckoned with. The truth hurts and nothing against JL but I think he molly coddled them a bit and they just expected to be in the starting line up.....by the looks of it, not anymore.

It's all very well to say that attacking a player in that manner is wrong and not the best way to start off a relationship between player. However if you ask me Dave the approach your suggesting about asking player how they could improve their game is the approach Lang has been using for the past two seasons and where has it got the club? No where. In fact we're gone backwards. Nope the pot need stirring.

I am not saying that they need a cuddle or nice warm hugs, but players minds are delicate things and they are somewhat critical to player performance (!!).

Wayne Bennet hires sports psychologists and I submit, so should Matty Elliot.

Thats the cutting edge in professional sport these days.

We dont want Clinton offended or hurt to the extent that, subconsciously, he doesnt put in.

Different players need different approaches too-and I say that on the basis that differences exist between players and how they think.

It sounds nice and result-orientated to scream at them, but maybe thats harmimg them?

I think we need the experts on this one folks.

Anyway, thats my take on it.

Cheers everyone.

Be true to LU

If I had a new boss, and he came out with that line to me on the first day (after I had busted my guts doing my job), I would probably punch him in the face, and then give him my resignation

I would too if I'd busted my guts...but lets face it, Clinton didn't exactly set the world on fire this year or last year. If they can't take the heat that Matt may give them, then get out of the kitchen...
