How many weeks for Latrell?

I am still yet to see a story that even hints at latrell making a phone call or sending a text to apologise which you normally see by now with these types of incidents. Surely if you were within souths management, you would want that story out there to at least try to get some good PR.

The bloke has proven himself to be completely unhinged.

Looks like he tried to enter the sheds to apologise on the night but Roosters told him to f**k off

I dare say if he showed contrition at the time of the Manu incident and not go on with further rubbish during the game such as the ball-slam/Fletcher Baker episode triggering another melee, things might’ve been much calmer post match.
The first JWH blow up was as he was going to the bin. No excuse but I dare say that contributed to the red mist. Anyway he and the club have 6 months now to work on his issue.

No justice at all in this system. He was punished for the injury, not the tackle. The ridiculousness can be seen if you imagine Latrell was MORE reckless, not less, got him even higher, and collected him around the forehead area. It wouldn't have been as bad an injury and he wouldn't be out for 6 weeks.

That is not fair in anyway. Worse tackles can lead to injury and relatively minor misdeeds can lead to catastrophe. There should be zero weight given to injury when deciding on punishments.
I know you're being attacked for this viewpoint, but you're actually sort of right.

Had Manu not broken his cheekbone and been able to rearrange his facial structure with a sneeze, it very well could have been less than six weeks. Had Latrell been contrite (that means apologetic) he might have got less than six weeks.

In the same way a drink driver, or a speeding driver gets a bigger sentence or fine if they hurt or kill someone. If Latrell flies over and misses him, probably a week. If he knocks Manu out and it doesn't look that awful, 3 weeks. But he f**king annihilated him. He chose to fly in, leading with a shoulder (and an arm that would've smashed him anyway) and Manu was badly hurt. That's fair. That's human nature. You're always going to get more for a severe injury. The same applies with the law in general. Common assault v GBH etc.

Latrell is not hard done by, just FYI. Neither is your team.

Again, if he showed remorse/concern immediately after the hit, Jared probably doesn’t go to the sideline. I think he’ll meet Joey and even the team at some point in the off-season. They’ve been mates for quite a while.

Exactly thats all he needed to show a bit of empathy especially what he did to his mate, he showed no such thing carried on like he was the victim that what got the Roosters players all pissed, but Latrell wasn’t the only player ti show no empathy at all Gagai and walker also carried on like wankers…

Does in this country, chief. GBH = maximum of 7 years, common assault = 1 year. Fairly certain it would be in yours, too. And I was right about DUI that causes injury or death as opposed to flat out blowing over the limit and being pulled over.

But yeah for sure, attack the semantics of my post if there's nothing else to be shot down.
