The rumour mill is in freefall at the moment. Anyone and everyone have an opinion and us fans are being dragged along with it. I think I'll know by end of this week (the outcome of Hunt's meeting with the Dragons) and whether I'll give up 60 years of following the Dragons. Signing and playing 9 for the broncs will be the biggest FU in the history of the game. Remember Benny Boy. What happens now will be your legacy and what you will instantly be remembered for. You're retired for a much longer period than your playing career!

It's a lose -lose situation if he stays he'll cause disharmony in the team if he goes we have lost our best player and sending a bad message saying just have a sook and you're free to go.
"Best player" ?!?!
Game management: D-
Defense: C
Field Goals: 1 in 5 1/2 years
Kicking game: The odd 40/20. Kicks down the fullbacks throat a specialty.
Grubbers: seldom/rarely/never
Hospital passes & sideways runs: A+
Leadership: D-
Loyalty: F-
If that's our BEST player then God help us.

The only way forward I can see is lend him to the broncs for the remainder of the season
Hang onto his contract and play hard ball with other clubs for his release

I really dislike the way this has (seemingly) been handled by Hunt, and I hope the club acts firmly in its best interests. But, I do have sympathy for Hunt's plight. As we all know, this whole mess should have been sorted out last year, behind closed doors, and we should have come into 2023 with a clear plan and a competition-grade administration. We should have been able to keep our sole marquee player content. Even now, it seems like it's all in on Flanno, and bugger any serious consideration of just what it takes to be a great NRL club today. That didn't end well when we did it with Bennett. It may not end any better this time!

And that’s what he should be remembered for an over paid under performing Prima Donna

Good comment Gardenia. I was thinking the same. Gives Ben his shot at a title with his Debut club, then 2 years back here settling things down. That is a fair deal for both parties ( with $$$ our way also).

Bello,

I'm not having a dig at you, and I am happy to say our board sucks.

However, this one is on Ben and only Ben. You say this should have been handled in house. He got an extension for 2 years " in house ".

He didn't like it when Hooks job was being questioned. He didn't like the notion of being moved to 9 to accommodate the squad.

He leaked the release to Rothfield himself.

The board has a lot to answer for, in particular it's direction post Bennett. They are not to be blamed here for paying good money for a long time to a good footy player that has thrown his toys out of the pram.

Sympathy ? Yeah, nah.

He will be in a Broncos outfit before you know it.
