Nah..... IMO, the games have become pre-packaged entertainment for the masses who can't focus for longer than a few hours. Let's throw a seasons worth of games into a month or so. The games are more often than not won in the first hour. It's like having cheeseburgers every night for dinner with no fries to dunk into your soft serve ice-cream.
Yep plastic and forgettable.

I think it still has it's place. My daughter and wife who would never watch any sport with me are watching the games even when I'm at work. My daughter wanted a toffs membership for Xmas ( much to my disgust as a westie. At least my son stayed loyal with me). I'm not sure that would have happened without the bbl.

The BBL itself is fine. Good even.

It's just that this year the quality of the comp has been abysmal. The IPL went through the same thing, in many ways. Just need to keep improving and not stagnate

Agreed, and I think making the comp longer hasn’t helped either.

This year also seems a poor year for imports.

The BBL is 4 weeks too long

Most of the sides still have 4 games each to play o_O

Play the final (like the ladies are) on Australia day every year if they want to make a theme of it

Final this year is Sunday Feb 17 ffs
The Maoris v indigenous match is on couple of days prior
and the day before that is Feb 14 FFS

Yeah but I'd still rather have cricket on TV instead of nothing. And I reckon if they banned spinners we'd see more sixes being hit and interest would pick up again.

Ordinarily I'd be going for the toffs but I think it'd be better for the westies if the canes win. All I know for sure is that my second favourite team is looking good.
