An unacceptable test match pitch.
CA would be fuming I'd reckon considering the lost income of 3 days of test cricket
We don't need roads prepared, but at the same time green tops like this are pretty poor preparation from the Gabba groundsman.
Actually, it's an embarrassment. Whoever signed off on the pitch should he sacked. Probably the best example of a coin toss Test wicket that I can remember.

The only time we produce roads is when India come here.

That's the summer to produce green tops.
Maybe after this debacle they set a standard that must be met for test cricket wickets. Wides were the top scorer in Australia's last innings....lol.

I didn't mind the pitch, both teams had to bat on it and Travis Head made plenty so batting was possible.

Good to see the bowlers not having to bowl on roads that give up 500+runs. Next game it will be back to normal but I didn't mind that one.

Give me that over the Dead Flat pitch in Rawalpindi that was a bore fest in Pakistan earlier this year and i am a Cricket Tragic.

Probably too green but amazingly it turned heaps as well. Hopefully Sandpaper Warner is shown the door for game 2.

Was the pitch that bad or was the batting that poor??? I’d argue the latter, there was very good bowling and some terrible cricket shots.

It’s just further proof that modern batsman struggle unless an autobahn is produced.
Exactly T20 cricket means batsman dont have the patience to tough it out for long periods.

Throw in 2 super-star bowling attacks and it was going to get ugly pretty quick.

Khawaja and Smith got out playing T20 shots chasing a total of 34.

Saffas need to find some batters quick to go with Nortje and Jansen.

Lol Cummins given out because a strain seam strand flicked the bat

Isha didn't like it, she reckons there has to be a bit more of a spike than that ripple as its audio only and could have been anything

As usual it’s fine if consistent, but you know the second it happens to an Indian, there’ll be a rule change

Isa, not Isha. Although it is pronounced the way you spelt it.

And I tend to agree with her. I think at least there should be something on hotspot as well. In this case, there was nothing.
