I get the vibe it's a really hot and humid day up there may have turned a few away.

Seeing as the commentators have been talking about it all day how oppressive it is.

over 29k yesterday, so two days in a row attendance record has been broken at the GABBA for Aust v WI tests

And yup the heat is relenting today, at tops of 37c
Currently 28c and humid
players sweating bullets

I’m torn as to who are the moral victors in Poms vs Indians. Poms are going to need new L triggers on their PlayStation controllers after spamming the sweep shot button but then the Indian pitches have more doctors than my local GP (casual racism because actually my local GP is mostly Sri Lankan doctors).

Up to 80mm of rain predicted for Brisbane today with the possibility of a severe storm. It’s been raining since at least 5am where I am. If play does get under way the ball could be a swinger.

I looked at the Radar for Brisbane it suggests it might blow over by the time they are supposed to start. Day night test means it will probably mean we get enough time to get a result today.

If it was a red ball test they might only get a session in today.

Damn I hate these tail ender innings where they slog and mishit but because of the bats as they are now the mis hits fall safe eg Stokes, this innings from Stark.

I think this underplays how good Windies played. World cricket needs a Windies dominating pace bowling attack

It also reinforces the fact that us Aussies shouldn't be so up ourselves and just expect to beat minnow nations like the West indies all the time.
I'm actually glad they won. It's a rocket up our arrogant test players.

We also get a well earned moral victory for helping revive the passion and love of test cricket in the Caribbean.
