Its a tough one as unfortunately we have no specialist batters coming through that warrant selection.

Cam Green has the best record in shield cricket he averages 56. Now it hasn't translated to test cricket yet.

But no one else has knocked the door down that you could say is unlucky they should be playing.

There is a reason we shouldn't be going back to spuds in Harris and Bancroft they have failed multiple times at test level and haven't demanded selection by averaging 60 or scoring 1000 runs a season in shield like a Simon Katich did back in the day that forced the selectors hand to pick him again.

Even then Katich had proved before his final recall he could deliver in test cricket even when he did get dropped a couple times he had 3 or 4 test hundreds to his name.

My mates and I used to take the absolute piss out of Matthew Hayden in his very early years. He was f**king hopeless.
All the best players did it tough in their formulative years - even Mark and Steve Waugh were dropped early in their careers. Yet they came back as better players.
Cameron Green is one of these. He's a serious talent. He needs time.

Bison had the best average over 5 games.

I really think we will be destroyed by India next summer I have no faith in our batsmen

Depends on the pitches tbh.

I actually hope we fight fire with fire and just go for spiced up grassy wickets.

I dont see the point of protecting our batsman with flat wickets.

Our bowling is our strength lets just roll the dice and go with it. Back our quicks against Bumrah & Shami.

We have rolled out the welcome mat with flat decks the last 2 times India have come out and look what has happened. It has played into India's hands.

Leave as much grass and juice on the wickets and Rohit Sharma might have a stomach bug before walking out for the toss like Ganguly did one time.

The 2 tests we have beaten India in Australia in past 2 series have been the 2 decks with spice in it.

Perth pitch in 2018 was a wild spicy deck that jumped around everywhere.
Adelaide pitch in 2020 was pink ball game but we rolled them for 36.

The rest of the wickets have been low, slow wickets which play into India's hands and take out our Fast Bowlers.

India beat us last time on the flattest and slowest Gabba deck I’ve ever seen.
Seems like everytime India come out we produce slow wickets that summer. Surely its not just pot luck that the weather in those summers have affected pitch preparation.

I know BCCI run the game.

But still they don't give flying toss when we go over there about the pitches. They go out there way to make us uncomfortable and rig them up to turn square.

Why should we roll out nice slow decks for there batsman to cash in. Make em jump around and fight for it.

There is a reason they struggle in South Africa with similar type wickets to us.

They totally need to outlaw the switch hit reverse sweep. Or make it a free for all for the fielding/bowling team as well.
I’ve already said the fielders should be allowed to change position when the bowler is in their run up.

Even more embarrassing was that bald straight breaker got test player of the year. Oozie wins ICC test player of the year but somehow the bald fraud takes that award off him. Lyon bowled plod most of the summer.

Makes no sense to me

He missed 3 test matches in the Ashes and tore his calf basically not even a quarter through the lord's test.

So thats 4 test matches he wouldnt have got votes on.
