The moral outrage has been way over the top, that said this team and management have been heading in this direction for quite a while.

It just shows how arrogant and out of touch they are when they thought they would actually get away with it. And Smiths press conference was telling, he thought it was no big deal and it would all blow over.

I never really understood ball tampering. Don't they do that anyway? You see them constantly rubbing spit into the ball, rubbing the shine off on their pants, to the point that by the end of the game bowlers have a huge red stain on their pants, and that's all cool. No problems with that...

Personally, I'm sick of hearing about it, and honestly I think the outrage is a little overblown if you ask me...

Good debate here between Indian legends

Lol... I haven't even watched it yet and I know Ganguly and Harbhajan are going to make me want to punch someone with their hypocrisy. Two of the greatest merkins to ever play cricket

Harby, a known racist, was on Twitter the other day playing the race card over the "lenient" suspension. Says it all really

The clip only shows Ganguly & Bedi. Ganguly reckons that a match ban is sufficient. Bedi wants a life ban.

Bedi should be reminded that their demi-god Satchin was suspended for ball tampering too. He claimed that he was trying to get a piece of glass out of the seam.

I hate the whole team and I regularly converse with a guy called Trevor who also hates the whole team. We both hated the whole team because our fathers hated the whole team.

Well Trevor shouldn't have listened to his brother in that ODI vs nz

If you think only 3 players knew about it / planned it then you are kidding yourself. As if the leadership "group" is only Smith and Warner.

thats pure speculation at this stage, you could probabaly get a gig with Foxsports posting stuff like that

in an interview yesterday Clarkie said on Foxsports that when he was skipper the only players in the leadership group where captain and vice captain

The leadership group is Smith, Warner, Starc, Hazlewood, Lyon

Not much of a group then is it. Maybe they should call it a leadership couple. Or not call it anything, seeing as the captain and vice captain are already leaders.

In fairness I think you are speculating as well.

You are allowed to try to preserve the ball by shining it / polishing it, using only a non-abrasive cloth (shirt/pants) and saliva (without mints or cat semen in your mouth).

You aren't allowed to deliberately degrade the ball, so you can't damage it intentionally, by hacking it with your fingers, dirt, glass, sandpaper etc, or by deliberately throwing the ball into the ground when returning it to the keeper/bowler. You can't microwave the ball either.
