I love the fact that NSW fans pin their hopes on Lockyer's absence.

I guess it may just be different for different areas. I know on the gc at times i find it pretty hard too see any maroon jerseys, infact I saw more blue this year. But support obviously isn't just determined by how many coloured jerseys there are...

Tell that to RBM

I doubt he was "giving it" to anyone either.

You are welcome think whatever you care to.It doesn't change what happened.

I wondered whether my brother was somewhat embarrassed. Then when we got to Sydney.I was the one raising my eyebrows at my brother bellowing QUENSLANDER!!! on a train platform chockers with Blues jerseys.

This was the first time that I'd attended an Origin Game with him. When I saw that,I realised that he was not embarrassed by my cheerful ribbing and comments to the Stockton folks.

On the original point of NSW pinning their hopes on Lockyer leaving, I doubt that's true. In fact if any team worries more about the opposition players taking part than their own, they've already lost.

Queensland has dominated Origin for some time, but in all honesty the dominance is not as great as the record suggests.

For NSW to get those extra points required to win two games out of three they needed to make some basic changes

1. Get a full time coach - Done
2. Get a succession program in place - Done
3. Stop changing the entire team every series - Lets see on that one
4. Get the best players on the park in at least 70% of the positions - Yet to be done
5. Stop Queensland picking players from NSW :p (ok taking the piss with that one)

NSW has actually made some changes to stop Queenslands dominance in Origin and now it has to actually try and get their best players on the field. Personally I would have loved for Todd Carney not to be a complete spaswad mentally and I would have loved for Terry Campese's lower body to have been fit in 2012. I think they're NSW's best halves combination by some bloody distance and yet they've never played Origin together.

Our best props and centres and full backs have been injured more often than not over the past 5 years and now we've lost our best winger to a friggin church.

If NSW ever manages to field it's best 17, or 15 of it's best 17 for more than one sodding game, I think QLD will have more to fear than losing Darren Lockyer.

Well said. One can pray that the mental midget Carney scrapes together some sobriety and consistency this year, because he could be an absolutely phenomenal player.

As much as I don't want to admit it, Qld are unbeatable at the moment. Need to get some Kiwis and Pommies into the NSW side, I'm being serious. Get Ellis, Burgess and Marshall in there this year.

We don't even have that anymore. Big Mal stole it off us after Game 3 with his "The whole world is full of rats and filth trying to rob Qld at every corner!" Courier Fail rant.

Gotta love Mal- even after the final whistle he's still competing hard

Mal gave the Sydney media whores a spray........it was well deserved. That's not whinging.

NSW fans still whining about Greg Inglis and their "Captain's" crybaby tactics this year.......??

Now THAT'S whinging.
