Something that probably wouldn't happen bowling first as I don't think scoreboard pressure leads to getting bowled out for 160.

I would bring Kane back for Latham personally if he is fit and you have enough fit players. Latham while solid just doesn't do enough against the big boys I think he has feasted on the lesser performing countries to boost his numbers up.

Dew & teams are petrified of setting the pace as they dont know what a good score would be so rather chase.

When its actually the opposite just bat the other team out of the game by getting 350+.

Scoreboard & required run-rate pressure batting 2nd is another factor.

T20 has mushed the brains up as everything in T20 is about chasing.

In 50 overs you can bat them out of the game by scoring 350+.

On the odd occasion it will get run down but generally 95% of the time you will win.

142 wins, 9 Losses, 1 Tie overall in ODIs.

Score 350+ when batting first you basically win.

Liked what I saw from SA yesterday.

They could really use de Kock in their test team. Just pay the bloke. Take another punt on Rassie as well even at 34.

When they last toured here their batting was well below the standard. They had a capable attack but it too looked neutered. I yearn for day that another competitive test cricket team tours Australia besides India.
