You may as well lock in Aussies v Saffas semi final now.

Probably the best result for Australia. Go in as underdogs considering we have lost our last 4 ODIs against them.

All the pressure and history of choking is on south Africa's shoulders.

Win the toss bat first I reckon we will probably make the final.

If it's not pace it's spin that kill you for India.

I can't see India not losing it will take a special innings from someone and hope our bowlers have a decent day.

To beat India in the form they are in you're going to have a bowler just go through them. I can't see anyone doing that atm.

This was earlier this year. India were close to full-strength except Bumrah.

It was a freak event i can't see happening again.

Unlikely, but for whatever reason we trouble them… Boult is due one of those days, and with Williamson back our batting looks solid… it’s my straw, and I will grasp at it lol.

India in recent years have been great at non sudden death World Cup games but poor in sudden death World Cup games

Their last win in a sudden death World Cup game was the 2014 T20 semi final vs South Africa

Since then they have lost their last 7 sudden death games in a row (two in 50 over format, three in 20 over format and the two test championship finals)

In their most recent sudden death games Australia beat them by 209 runs in the World Test Championship final and England beat them by 10 wickets with 24 balls to spare in the 2022 T20 World Cup semi final. These 2 games are the most relevant formlines rather than these non sudden death games on now

Virat has gone like this in ODI WC Semi Finals

9,1,1.

Basically like in the USA when those 3 numbers are involved its means trouble.

I am still waiting for Ollie Knobinson wisden column on what's gone wrong for England.

Was that just an ashes side-gig or has Ollie given up the dream to be a comedy writer when he gets belted out of the attack and the England Test side.

His obvious column would be that England weren't at full strength because Ollie was sitting back home

Ours have next to no ability to adapt once they start getting tonked, they just go straight into pants-shitting mode.

Thank christ for zampa, he's the only one keeping us in games.
Starc is like Mitch Johnson at his best he is impossible to play against and unstoppable.

But at his worst he is horrid and grade cricket quality.
