Hopefully we can continue to perform... to be honest, I never expected us to be competitive in this series... at all... but we have... and I appluad them.

Guptill worries me, not because of a lack of talent, just that he hasn't had much 1st class experience. And McIntosh is clearly limited, but he has character, and although his dismissals sometimes look bad, he's a fighter, and I am all for that...

Taylor, Ryder and Williamson are potentially a very good middle order...

The main thing is that they've shown some resolve and fight, and I am really happy with that... to compete at test level, we have to fight like hell, and compete ugly at times... and they are doing that

If we can come out with two draws in the first two test matches thats a pretty good effort.

better than pretty good - probably our best result in 10 years!! They are #1 in the world, at home, and just towelled Australia at home...

But, refusing to count chickens... we've disintegrated with the bat too often in the past for that

I must say Tim McIntosh isn't too bad against spin. McCullum looking good too.

NZ 101/0, first time since 2004 we have had a 100 run opening partnership.

Great to put a good batting performance together

2 draws is a lot better than I hoped for
