I still can't get over them trying to pass themselves off as Italians, only that German guy was fluent in Italian

Even better cause the 3rd guy couldn't even speak Italian

Yeah that SS guy was awesome, probably by fave character from the movie, although i did enjoy the German Basterd who enjoyed killing Nazi's.

I don't understand people walking out during a Tarantino movie.

I mean...what are you expecting? Jane Austen?

A couple sitting next to us walked out in Kill Bill too. I mean...a movie about a vengeful assasin with a sword is going to be violent, right.

Some people are just f**king idiots.

They walked out because Kill Bill was utter sh*te.

Reservoir Dogs, Jackie Brown or True Romance - they were worth sitting through.

Absolutely awesome.

The opening 30 minutes were electric and the movie never fell flat after that. I loved the introduction of the bear jew. The influence of the Leone style, particularly early in the movie was brilliant.

In the mdist of Hollywood sh*t like transformers II and a thousand comic book movies we need people like tarantino making more movies.

Just so entertaining and fresh.

It's well put together, and i suppose most WW II veterans are dead or too old to be offended by a silly fantasy portrayal of their war. I mean, having a storyline of a small group of jews having the entire german army quakeing in fear and ending the war a year early by killing the german leaders would surely be seen as insulting by anyone of that era who took it as anything more than comic book fantasy.

The 'point' of his movies is to break down stereotypes by ridiculing them, mostly by casting opposite roles - such as the fearsome jewish soldiers and the funny and weak germans - but i can't help feeling he could be a little bit subtle just occasionally, for a change of pace.

I have to admit i was a bit confused by the ending, before i realised that the movie wasn't really fussed with historical perspective. Enjoyed it for what i was.

Funnily, there is a book called
The Brigade: An Epic Story of Vengeance, Salvation, and WWII by Howard Blum
I read it many years ago, and it is the story of a British brigade of jewish soldiers raised in Palestine who roamed around europe in the months after the war murdering SS soldiers in ways that would make Tarentino lose his breakfast - but if he had basterdised this real story he would have been hung, drawn and quartered.

Absolutely brilliant movie.

Colonel Hans Landa stole the show for mine. He was incredible and will go close with a best supporting actor oscr IMO.

Hugo Stiglitz was excellent as well and thebar scene along with the opening scene are the best in the movie IMO.

Col. Landa was amazing. Also, I don't think anyone writes a better Mexican Stand-off than Tarantino (ref. The bar scene in IB, the end of Res. Dogs.)
