It's well put together, and i suppose most WW II veterans are dead or too old to be offended by a silly fantasy portrayal of their war. I mean, having a storyline of a small group of jews having the entire german army quakeing in fear and ending the war a year early by killing the german leaders would surely be seen as insulting by anyone of that era who took it as anything more than comic book fantasy.
The 'point' of his movies is to break down stereotypes by ridiculing them, mostly by casting opposite roles - such as the fearsome jewish soldiers and the funny and weak germans - but i can't help feeling he could be a little bit subtle just occasionally, for a change of pace.
