Scurrah said we are no longer paying Any of Inu's salary. So that has freed up a pretty sweet pile of cash.

For what, in terms of this year? Next year, great. We can recruit someone else, an UK-based player or whatever, and keep some of our juniors.

But this year? Can't see the point.

Perhaps Inu has pissed them off to the point that they'd rather blood a rookie than play him again? If so, may as well save the cash itself.
i'm sure they are well aware of our lack of depth; obviously getting rid of Inu was a more attractive option than keeping him for possible injury cover.

I would say it pretty much means a straight swap with Neilson, which I would say is a win for the club. Completely different players, but both are good level players, with Nielson being alot more consistant and solid and Inu the opposite.

Is Mix hanging around? Would love to know how this impacts on keeping Omar. He might be a bit more interested in sticking around now he's probably our first back up winger.

Maybe so...I haven't heard any discussion on it. I'd want to hear a better explanation than 'we aren't having to pay his salary now'. In that case, why didn't we dump Seymour when he was on his way out of the club and playing Vulcans.

If Henry/Hurrell (god save us if both) goes down on the run home or in the play-offs, who steps in/ We've tried Lewis Brown, it's not ideal. We've done Simon, it goes okay but he's invaluable closer in.

I don't see how getting rid of Inu is more attractive than playing guys there who aren't accustomed to it. He showed that in the finals last year.

I agree, I don't see the logic either. That's why I'm guessing they REALLY don't want to select him again. They're a business, with wins being the desired outcome, so I am sure they wouldn't weaken the squad just for laughs, as some people seem to believe...

Right now it'd have to be Tuimavavae who gets the nod if we lose a centre or winger, I assume.

With Inu gone, presumably Carlos will play 4 for the Vulcans this weekend.

Hence the Tuimavave on the bench originally in the Vulcans side, makes sense.

I dunno...as I say, I'm not a big Inu man. But if you're asking me who I'd rather have at the pointy end of the season, Inu or Tuimavave/converted centre, I'm pretty set on who I'd go.

Yeah, I am a fan of Inu's skillset too. Ah well, hopefully we do alright with whatever other options the club has in mind.

No point in speculating what went wrong there.
He helped us to a grand final last year and has had some good moments on the feild as well as some bad ones.
I wish him luck and hope like hell he doesn't come back to haunt us and we have some ready replacements i.e Dean Bell returns from the UK with some good news.

Good news on what front? We have the centres sorted for next year already. Hurrell & Nielsen.

If we were to target something from the UK, what would be after? Centres are covered, a back-up winger we could probably do with (but could be found in Omar), halves we are okay, hooker sweet, props sweet, second rowers flush out of our eyeballs. Interesting to see what they come up with. A goalkicker, perhaps?

I'm guessing the ideal signing would be a player who can cover centre and wing. So yeah, a utility back I reckon.

good luck to the guy but if the dogs play us in the GF and Inu scores a try by catching a high ball that Manu drops, I'll be pissed....

But it could be the other way around!

Anyway, we're two backs down now with more than half a season to play. The Warriors management know what they're doing though, eh?

I have a better chance of winning Lotto than Manu catching a bomb.. he usually just bats it back with his two left hands anyway....

Interesting to see the name Taukieaho on your list ozbash. I think the NYC team are 1000 times better when this bloke is available. Terrific defender, great go forward, good ball playing skill.... I think he has a big future as a backrower or centre. As I understand it, he's off contract. I'd be shoring up the likes of Slaimankhel, Ikahahifo and Taukieaho fairly quickly.

Yea, I hope he's back before the end of the season. Its his last year in 20s( I think).

In a nutshell we can sum Inu up at the Warriors with that play he made in last year's GF. The X-factor with a brilliant break from his own goal line, up to the halfway mark, about to turn the match, then...he spills the ball in the tackle.

He'll go good for the Dogs though, Fairfield/Cabramatta's his homepatch and Des won't take no nonsense.

I think we've all moved on now, ay? (until we're a winger down with no-one in sight..."Kevin, can you cover a wing spot?")

Fisiiahi started in 20s playing a bit of wing, as did Omar Slaimankhel. I'm not too concerned with the lack of Inu from that perspective. I think its just disappointment that there is some kind of attitude issue that prevents him from achieving his potential.

I'm not concerned with the wing cover either, much more the centre cover, the second rower to centre move has gone poorly for us on too many occasions. Coupled with the lack of conmunication over what was really going on throughout Inu's time here means the move reeks of poor management.

Why should fans be privy to whats happening behind the scenes at the club ?
Inu was a distraction, a fly in the ointment.

Bluey wants players who will perform on his terms, not their own.

See he's named on the wing for the Dogs this weekend. He'll have a MOM performance,, because he feels like it...
