Glad to see most of the post-match vitriol against Inu has subsided from last night (when I logged in after not seeing the game I thought Inu had switched sides mid-way through).
Firstly, that one handed carry. It's been used for decades by plenty of players in both league and union, don't exactly know why, but I believe it's when they want to create a line break, create something from nothing, free-flowing running, which Inu thought he could do at that stage (he backs himeself - which can only be a positive). It didn't come off and he looked terrible. If it came off and he was down in the opposition half on the first tackle, well then he's a ripper.
Secondly, his off-load in his own 20. There was eight minutes to go and his side was down by six. They had to create something. I know about field position and all that but the Warriors are famous for this sort of stuff, off-loading and creating metres. Once again, when it doesn't come off then they look bad. However, go back 30 years when no-one took a risk like this and league was pretty predictable and low scoring.
I'm making excuses for Inu, I know. Look, I just like exciting players OK? Thirteen Michael Luck's (my fav player) wouldn't do the job, nor would thirteen Inus'! (where you'd probably win 70-0 or lose 0-70).
