 yeah exactly Maloney came out and said a week before he played in a GF side for the club that the Warriors were the club he least wanted to join out of every side in the NRL.
+1What about Maloney? He came here purely for financial reasons. He has stated numerous times that he would have taken any other offer in Australia over ours. Now he's headed back to Aus next year, and he's in the team week in, week out.
I don't begrudge any player who goes to a team for purely financial reasons. League players only have a limited amount of time to make money, so good luck to 'em. Look how many of them end up working in the coal mines and shit after their league days are done. Even legends like Stacy Jones have to go and buy Subway franchises and do ads for finance companies.
I really don't understand why people get so uppity over this kind of stuff. There are plenty of examples of guys who come here for the money and go on to love NZ or just be great for the team. I think some people need a reason to justify Inu's waste of talent over here.
Maloney came here to stake his claim to a first grade halves spot. In fact instructed his agent to "find him a club where he would get a start"What about Maloney? Quite a big difference to a purely financial decision.

Yes but what Maloney said was pre coming to the Warriors and what Inu is saying is post Warriors. It just seems very disrespectful, the thing with Inu is he probably isn't intelligent enough to realise that, Its especially lame seeing as the club basically allowed his release so he would have a contract 2013 onwards. And yet he admitted that despite the Warriors being the only team that came calling he still wasn't particularly keen. If saying after you are not even at the club anymore that your main motivation for signing was money is terrible than I'd say saying that the Warriors was the club that you least wanted to play for in the NRL while one of the stars of the side is probably worse.....
Jimmy came to us because he was surplus to the Storm requirments and the Warriors hrew him a lifeline.
I wish all our imports played with the same loyalty as Maloney.
He leaves for family reasons (he wants to see more of them), and I wish him well.
Anyone who thinks Wiki and Pricey were past their use by is kidding themselves. Price was still a current qld and Kangaroo rep and Ruben was chrrent Kiwi skipper.
How "used by" do you want ?

:?How is it disrespectful for saying that money was the main motivation for signing with the Warriors in the first place!? Money is the main motivation to a hell of a lot of professional sportsmen. I really really do not see the 'disrespect' in that. We must be on the opposite side of the spectrum here. Yeah and Maloney said that pre coming to the Warriors and Inu is talking about why he joined the Warriors PRE joining the Warriors.

By what seems to be the yardstick around here, Maloney has shown NO loyalty to the club. Get your head out of your arse.
*not implying players take steriods but you know what I mean.
What are you talking about, he's been just about the best #6 in our clubs history.
