No. Cameron Smith isn't the last of a dying breed in Rugby League. There will always be whingers.

Smith is a fine player indeed.

That being said, fast forward 20 years. The best player then will probably also have similar things written and said about them as well.

How can you be the last of an extinct species?

HahaBunniesman

Agreed. Thread should be closed until it is renamed "Is Cameron Smith the last of a critically endangered species?"

Very topical.

You'll always be my favourite LUtard BM.

Scientifically speaking, if a species has lost all ability to reproduce then it is considered extinct. Even if there is still a single one left.

If it makes you happy feel free to rephrase the question to "is Cameron Smith the last of his species".

Yeah, nah.

"In biology and ecology, extinction is the end of an organism or of a group of organisms (taxon), normally a species. The moment of extinction is generally considered to be the death of the last individual of the species, although the capacity to breed and recover may have been lost before this point."

But nice try.

Poor BM, struggling for relevance in a new LU that is now overrun with trolls.

This thread is basically a cry for attention in a tsunami of Top ball threads

I want the sport to be de-Cameron Smithized a little, and for the emphasis to go more towards the backs a little more, granted that might mean more towards the outside-backs and not the halfbacks, but tough, this is why I want the sport to go to 12-a-side. And get rid of the scrum please.

Lets take an unbiased look at Smiths career, So far he has:

- Been involved in the storm salary cap scandal running multiple NRL seasons
-pioneered wrestling in RL which is npw ruining the game
-pioneered multiple illegal tackling techniques
- Accused Alex Mckinnon of breaking his own neck.
- Captained Australian to lose the number 1 ranking which would of seemed an almost impossible task 10 years ago

Fine career their smithy, future immortal indeed.
