Is James Roberts the fastest man in NRL history?

I've seen bio-metrics done where they extrapolate from on field speed and acceleration and can deduce that he runs the 100m in sub 10s.

Is it possible he's the fastest ever?

How long has it been, 2-3 weeks ? The fapfest starts early for some Broncs fans.

No-one is denying he's quick, that's a given.

Not the same as a standing start, far from it. When he actually runs a sub 10sec 100m race get back to me.

Ken Irvine wants to say hi from beyond.

1961 Irvine equalled a world record over 100 yards. Irvine won the event and equaled the record of 9 seconds (from memory), an hour later on the same day he won the 120 yard event from behind scratch. Hard to compare, but I'd back Irvine over JR.

Apologies, just saw El D's post.

You don't need any of that information to create an opinion in relation to the topic at hand. The idea that you would, is idiocy.

people run at different speeds in different conditions. Martin Kennedy's speed in proportion to his teammates went up on a muddy track, for example . without knowing the specific conditions we cannot conclude who's the faster player.

I'm not asking for your opinion on who the fastest player is. Perhaps leave this discussion to people with comprehension?

Lol @ the bronco wankfest over a new player .
When he was at the Titans he was just another player .
Now the baby oil & tissues are getting a workout just because he's now a bronco .

How long until school is back, 3 weeks?

Kev Gordon in his prime was pretty quick, Shuan Johnson is up there.

There's an argument there, that James Roberts is perhaps the fastest player to ever play NRL, or even Rugby League. I've seen bio-metrics done where they extrapolate from on field speed and acceleration and can deduce that he runs the 100m in sub 10s.

I would like to see the evidence.

If it was true, given he is training as a league player, what would he run training specifically for athletics. He would have been picked up by Athletics Australia because if he is running sub 10, he would be a sure thing for the semis at Rio.

Cleary, Irvine and Corowa for mine.

Quite possibly. Like someone else said I would love to see him race Korebete. Marton Offiah was pretty quick. David Mead is pretty damn quick. Mead and Roberts probably raced off many a time at training.

Can't wait to see him running in 90m tries this year at Suncorp& their will be plenty of them with Milf, Hunt & Nikorima in the team.
