Before I comment on the thread, can you clarify if you are related to I Bleed Maroon in any way? Ok then, back to the topic, if this guy can run 100 metre's in under 10 seconds having trained to be a footballer. If he changed his training to that of a full time sprinter he could probably knock 0.3 or 0.4 seconds off his time easily.. Would pretty much have him as favourite for Olympic or World Championship Gold. Seems legit.

You're another one.

There's an idea there, that needs discussion. If you don't know what that is, leave it to the grown ups.

You claim you have seen the evidence of Roberts being a sub 10s runner for the 100m, are you able to provide more detail on this evidence.

Read. Please.

I've seen bio-metrics done where they extrapolate from on field speed and acceleration and can deduce that he runs the 100m in sub 10s.

It was in a highlight video I saw on Youtube. I don't know the specific video and I can't find it now. Regardless, it would be helpful if you focused on the topic.

Blah blah unless he has actually run 100m in 10.00 or under lets discount it. Especially if it is a youtube video that you cant find anymore.

That being said he is the fastest ive seen and almost certainly the fastest in the NRL today. All time? Who knows?

So you made a claim with no backup or factual basis whatsoever.

Hands above the desk please.

If you want discussion, post up a thread that has some semblance of reality. The guy would be no where near sub 10 seconds. You simply cannot grasp how few professional sprinters on earth can run that time for 100 metres.

Of the handful that can, there would be a reasonable proportion on performance enhancing substances. To suggest that this guy can is laughable. He is probably the second fastest guy I have seen in the NRL, ARL but would be at best around 10.60. Shane Whereat ran from memory 10.34 in the Australian Championships a year or 2 before signing for the Roosters. He was definitely quicker than Roberts but had little footballing ability.

Always think of this when Albert's speed is brought up.

Exactly right.
Just because it's EXTREMELY unlikely that he could ever run sub 10 seconds (even with the right training and conditions) and impossible that he already has, is not to say that he isn't a very, very fast man.

Quickest in the league right now? Probably, yeah.
Quickest of all time? Maybe, doubt it.

its not just about running a 100m race, its about getting in the right place , catching the pass , been quick off the mark and rounding the defenders over 20-40m , martin offiah could not be rivalled at this art, if he was playing now he would still be doing the same- FAST AS FECK

Being the quickest right now is all that matters. Who gives a shit what someone ran 100m 50 years ago.

Roberts is a gun and will put on a great show for the fans.

.

The OP is asking if Roberts is the fastest in RL history, what happened 50 years is ago very relevant to the thread you dumb Brisbane f**ktard.

Yeah and there is far too many variables to even answer the question. Roberts however IS the fastest current player in the NRL and jimmy playing for the Broncos certainly has you rustled
