Is Price looking better

Price will never look better. I think most have been scarred watching 2 years of trash and no matter what he does we will always remember those 2 dreadful years.
He has taken the red V which we are all proud to be fans of from the benchmark of the NRL to a complete laughing stock. No excuses for that.

Benchmark? perhaps in 1966

I think if Price plays anyone other than Thompson in the centres this week we will be in trouble but if I was Price I would name Green regardless and spring a last minute change as I'm sure nearly their entire game plan will be aimed at him and otherwise at our poor marker defense. At least we should win the penalty count!

See u all at the game!

Price scares me the most with selections, but it's his head not mine.

Attack has definitely looked better and more threatening. Although I felt there was too much sideways movement on the weekend vs the Warriors.... Reminded me a lot of last season.

Ha! I wrote basically the same thing elsewhere. Anyway I totally agree. I thought Witt was the main offender in this regard. Widdop is still very good at straightening things up, but Witt tends to drift sideways immediately when he receives the ball. He had success against Melbourne creating an opportunity and now seems to be trying it a bit too often, ie almost every time. The right edge hasn't had much stability though, due to both injury and strange selections.

I'm not convinced it was Witt's decision, I think it was part of a game plan. I think Witt adds stability to the halves - both weeks have seen a more structured and controlled attack. Less off the cuff actions by the halves and less randomness.

Against the Warriors it seemed they were trying to play out a number of set plays (eg. Duges chiming into the back line a-la Boyd). It wasn't working as really that is not how this team works together. Over time it might get better, but I really can't see our back line being that structured any more. Really, you want something that is unpredictable in attack and I can see this team doing that really well.

Where you need the structure is in defense.

So it should we spent a couple of million dollars to get it to there and it still aint that great.

I agree re with with the 'skip and falter' move to the right. Worked once, seems to be trying to replicate it. Don't know if it is some sort of planned thing or something he jagged first time around. Looks almost like he is indecisive about which way he is going to go. Rorters defence will eat him up if he persists with it I think.

I would still persist with Williams. He surely did not play that badly to warrant a drop and Kyle is just a forgotten man for the halves. I don't understand how Green can warrant selection on performance and not those 2 players? Inconsistent selection criteria. Roosters are going to carve the Dragons up on Green's side of the field.

Yep Witt was the main offender on the weekend. Widdop also although he's played straight for most of the season, hopefully that was a one off.

Witt should be moved as backup hooker to Rein. I would put Kyle or Williams on the bench and when Rein gets tired throw Witt to No.9 and bring on Kyle or Williams to play 7.

Rein has been getting better each week and is handling the 80 min,why revert back to a wasted bench spot.We only need a steady no.7 with Widdop doing his stuff, and Witt is experienced enough to do his job.
Watching Williams last week for the Cutters ,he did ok but still came up with the odd error which can be costly in 1st grade.
Having the extra fresh forward works better as when Harrison came on last week and did that great run which almost led to a try.
