In yesterday's "pressie" his line of "I'm not making excuses, I'm not that type of person" will do me :) :) :)

He said that after coming out with at least 10; some crackers include; They were beat by 1 player last week and apparently beat by origin and internationals this week; him saying that made me laugh as well.

He's got to go soon surely. Unfortunately the raiders are paying him so much that they can't afford to buy him out.

What's getting to me in the last couple of press conferences is the constant "I" "my" and "me" comments.

Surely building culture begins with "we" "our" and "us"...

A good example of hearing what you want to hear.

There was no hint at an intent to be disloyal. He wants his youngsters surrounded by a few experienced, high profile players. Hardly ground breaking, considering how poor their roster is.

Okay so going on Rickys track record you are happy to say he's loyal?
You idiot

As a Parra fan, what concerned me last year was how clueless and poorly coached we appeared. Then his comments about expecting some big defeats and the players not being good enough...FMD. Not exactly confidence inspiring is he?

Brad Arthur had the advantage of a couple of quality signings (Peats, Hoppa and to a lesser extent, Norman). But guys like Edwards and Ma'u have made a huge difference to the Eels this year. And the blooding and/or continued development of guys like Pauli, Moreoa, Paulo etc have also contributed to a much improved season.

RS needs to give up on his ridiculous fantasy of signing origin players and concentrate on gradually improving his roster with quality first graders.

His press conferences are actually just sad now. He looks on the verge of crying every week and I don't care how much money he's making, he can't be enjoying life too much right now.

Don't bother trying to have a logical conversation with gypsy, his entire life revolves around the dragons/raiders match for some reason. It's as if his missus got shagged by a bunch of raiders during a dragons/raiders match one year and he just got move on.

Poor Ricky having to take on the Dragons at home in Canberra with the might of their Origin players.

I must have imagined a team with no 2014 origin players without four first choice players beating the Dragons in Wollongong last week.

Former Origin star Nathan Merritt plays for Norths in the NSW cup now - could they beat the Raiders too?

Raiders would have lost to the Eels with or without Hayne, they stopped playing football in the second half and invited the Eels back in it.

Stuart is doing an old fashioned smother

If we want to, we could buy him out, Bellemy, Bennett and Hasler out and contracted another 4 coaches
Money isn't the problem

In the space of 3 weeks, Stuart ended a 13 year hoodoo and a 14 year hoodoo. I doubt anyone has ever achieved anything like that before.

I realise it was an accident, but you just used "Stuart" and "achieved" in the same paragraph there. Just keep an eye on that mate.

Carry on.

Worst coach signing I can ever remember. After all that he achieved at Parramatta and the Sharks, why would you sign him long term?

I just don't understand what that press conference was supposed to achieve. He needs to step back and think about what he says and how it impacts his team. They have to get rid of him. Anybody who can't see it at the club needs to go with him. It has been stated the club can't afford to axe him, but with the impact and loss of earning they will get over the life of his contract, they cannot afford to keep him either.

What he fails to understand is that until he can start to drive improvement from his current squad, no SOO quality player would want to join his team. Even first grade quality players are running for the hills when they realise what a bad decision they are making. He has to pick the youth and work hard to succeed. It isn't going to fall into his lap like it did at the Roosters.
