Talent was there....Tedesco, Mansauce, Proctor.....they just chose not to be coached by you.

Yep absolute stack of talent came off contract this year. The fact no one wanted to take Canberra's money shows how on the nose the club and coach are with players in the NRL.

outside of the players they went for (reported) i'm sure these players would be an upgrade on what they have or at least add good depth

Fullback
Nathan Gardner

Wing
Ken Sio - now signed with Hull
Nathan Stapleton
Corey Thompson
Matt Duffie - if recovers

Centre
Kirisome Auva'a
Mahe Fonua
Kyle Stanley

Half
Sam Williams - now with Catalans
Robert Lui
Penani Manumalealii

Hooker
Anthony Mitchell
Matt Srama
Pat Politini

Lock
Joseph Paulo - depth

Second row
Jamie Buhrer - Re-signed?
David Fa'alogo
Tom Symonds
Will Matthews
Ben Lowe
David Gower

Prop
Tinirau Arona
Glenn Hall
Ben Hannant
Dunamis Lui
George Rose
Jasson King - good for the young guys
Siosaia Vave

heaps of players i reckon that would bolster Canberras squad

In fairness to Stuart the raiders in normal circumstances are disadvantaged because of a lack of private money in Canberra.

That said this year the raiders have obscene amounts of salary cap money anyways and still can't get anyone.

Buhrer has agreed to terms.

Hasn't been officially announced yet due to fear of tantrums from the Zorba crew.

But none are Origin and international players.

Which in all seriousness, means Ricky can do nothing for them.

Blaming the salary cap, this just keeps getting better. There was plenty of talent on the free market and none of it wanted a bar of Ricky, even at massive overs.

And whilst I'm possibly a fan of the rookie draft, how does that help Canberra? They already have young talent. Lee(s), Cornish, Wighton, Croker, Vaughan, whoever else

None of which would stay in Canberra if they had pretty much any other club knocking at their door. Croker has been in great form, watch him piss off to another club eventually.

All those players have signed contracts in the very recent past.

The reason why the raiders want a draft is because the club is run by a pack of cheapskates who want to stop investing in junior development. Considering the club is run by absolute clowns a draft would just turn us into the nrls Cleveland browns as we watch talent after talent turn into busts.

Blaming the salary cap is the biggest joke of all, any of the top half dozen coaches would have the Raiders in the 8 and most of the rest would have them off the floor

Supercoach needs to get rid of Tilse, McGroan, Compo, Butthead, Shillo the Pillo for a start. Those turnips have been haunting the joint for too long. The players who replace them might take time to get results but at least they will try and put in.

Make Fensom captain. Play Cornish.

I'm trying to help you Supercoach.

A few of the Mounties are playing well enough to integrate with the best first graders, anything is better than demoralising the team by calling for help from the NRL

I thought fans were laying rubbish on Ricky's last press conference and overexaggerating things....until I saw the conference for myself tonight.
I have never seen a coach look more of a beaten man than that conference with Ricky. Im not even mocking him here...but he needs to walk away purely for the fact that his stress levels seem totally over the top.
He is not in control of things.

If memory serves me correctly he was on the verge of calling the NRl for help when players were knocking us back last year. We went after Farah, Bird, Tamou and Scott before Nolan thought to go for guys that are actually looking for a regular start like Peats and Norman

I'm sure Ricky is looking round for people talking about him. I mean he says he doesn't give a shit what people say about him yet how would he know people are talking negatively of him? I mean the media haven't really gone on an anti-Ricky campaign.

Shillington just put a kibosh on that, even asking people to look at Parramatta who 'work hard' . . . if that doesn't put Stuart on suicide watch those who should be looking after his welfare are more naive than he is

Gee, that's a worry when Canberra's power-brokers aren't interested in investing in the future. The big names have proven they don't want to come, what other way forward do they have?

It's not with this coach. He has shown no ability to grow and improve a list. Having him as the head honcho on that Recruit (? forget name) programme was a disaster waiting to happen.

Out of curiosity, when was Canberra's last BIG signing - as in a guy at or near the top of his game, an Origin/Int player etc? Not a Brett White falling down the other side of the mountain.
