Is this what happens when a player is more worried about looking good first and winning second?

As dopey as i think SBW is, i'm sure he's smart enough to learn from his bone head errors and not repeat them, unlike some.

Did it? I don't think it did, they've had no stars since and are essentially an amateur sport.

The NRL is different though, SBW is but one star among many. SBW and Lomu were nrl-calibre stars that set the rugby world alight. The nrl is loaded with nrl-calibre stars, the world in general isn't noticing, but to nrl fans SBW is no loss. There are bigger better stars to people who know their rugby league.

I actually think the NRL should have to donate 5 stars at a time to union, on 4 year contracts, just to give the poor fellas a boost with stars. We wouldn't miss them, we're stacked.

What I don't get is why do stars like SBw and benji return to NZ to play union but won't return to NZ to play for warriors. Who was the last successful kiwi warriors signed from nrl after they played 50 games besides wiki. Can't include inu

That would be because in RU to represent the All
Blacks and get your highest value in the game... You have to play in NZ.

In RL... You can represent NZ at the highest level without having ply your trade within NZ.

GI was, is, and always will be much better. Maybe we'll have to wait till he retires before everyone finally concedes he was the greatest player of all time and by some margin.

Sbw is being recognised while playing only due to all the controversy and off field theatrics, he's good, but not even close to Inglis.
