Actually Illawarra still hold a seat on the board.

St George are now little brother.

Why didn't you say that Illawarra holds no shares but has a seat on the board with limited voting rights and St George has 3 seats with full voting rights and WIN has 3 seats on of which is the Chairmanship without a casting vote. Just tell it like it is, no spin.

No spin. You're now the minor party in the JV.

I don't own any shares in the disbanded joint venture. If WIN want to refer to their investment as a joint venture between St George and Illawarra, they need to GIVE back the shares to the Illawarra Club and five up their shares. But now, the NRL, St George and WIN would all have to agree to such an unlikely prospect.

I make the point, that if WIN sold their shares to another NRL club or rugby league club, with NRL and St George approval, that club could be our partner in the joint venture. And if WIN sold their shares to another corporation and the NRL and St George agreed to this sale, then St George would have a different investor/partner. Notice Illawarra wouold have absolutely no say in either deal.

By the way, I was born in the gong so I am not against Illawarra at all. What I am against is this factional rubbish that puts old boys snouts ahead of the good of the Club.

By the way how did you get the tag Village Idiot.
If you sell your car to a stranger, you don't get to drive it anymore.
If they let you drive it on a consignment basis, then yes you do.

And I’d hardly call WIN a stranger. They have been a key business partner for years.

The only thing that’s changed is now your club answers to them.

He or she is from the Illawarra portion control side of things, if the rest of that mob are similar to Muzby, it explains why we are now a disunified rabble of a club.

Above is Untrue
Illawarra own no shares, Illawarra own nothing.
Illawarra sit on the board, so does ST GEORGE, but as Illawarra own no shares, St George are the controlling partner.

#Illawarra never won anything 1788-2010

St George Illawarra has never been a joint venture, it was a hostile takeover by the Dragons and was basically supposed to let us suck the Illawarra junior system dry. The fact that we haven’t taken full advantage of the South Coast breeding grounds is an absolute disgrace.

The whole merger / joint venture thing is rubbish. Clubs like North Sydney, Newtown and many others were forced out of the first grade competition because they failed to stay afloat. The same should have applied to Illawarra, Balmain, and Western Suburbs. All of these clubs should have been designated as feeder clubs e.g. Balmain to Canterbury, Western Suburbs to Parramatta and Illawarra to St George.

The Steelers Club, is a leagues club based in Wollongong. They sold their shares to WIN a private company based in Wollongong. If St George Leagues club wanted the club to be a stand-alone entity then they should have bought the remaining shares. The club name will remain St George Illawarra Dragons, the badge will stay the same and we will continue to play 50-50 Wollongong and Sydney. You can reminisce and dream of a bygone era all you like it won’t change in the foreseeable future. You can delude yourself, based on what you’d like to happen, yet the St George Illawarra Dragons will remain The St George Illawarra Dragons. Get over it, it’s been 20 years.

Our football club is a separate entity. Mean squat what the league's club has.
Lol - why do you write stuff without even checking first? The football club is a controlled entity of the Leagues club. As opposed to a club like Souths Juniors that is independent of the football club but does make donations.

When people say the JV has for four St George directors - they are directors from the Leagues club.

So what exactly did WIN buy? Did they just buy shares in the JV?

So true, amongst the biggest junior area in OZ, but we don’t have the nouse nor the drive and ambition to pick the prize lambs from the farm.
My god we are a useless organisation these days.
