It'll definitely be one of the best I've seen. I can't remember the last time heading into the finals where I've thought more than two or three teams are a chance. This year, it's pretty much everyone.

A Broncos v Titans finals match is a dream for most supporters of both clubs, and has come to fruition earlier than most expected. Will be massive! All great games next week & it'll roll on from there.

And lost to just about every team outside the top 8 except the Sharks. I guess interpretation of the Knights depends on the individual and whether or not they're a glass half empty or glass half full kind of person.
Yup...those pesky Bottom 8 teams are really going to pose us a problem over the next 4 weeks...

Can no one see how we lift for the big games? Time and time again we have lifted for the big games and won them. Continue to write us off - much prefer we fly under the radar through the finals to be honest...

Call me one eyed if you like, but I think the Tigers would've just spiced up the competition a bit more, especially if half the team wasn't out with injury at the moment.

It doesn't matter who your team is, It's exciting to see the top 8 slug it out and who will win the trophy.

Plenty of would'ves...if Brian Smith hadn't quit on us and we won two of the three games we lost afterwards we would be top 4 and nobody would be questioning our place in the 8...

The Tigers weren't good enough. Simple.

Tigers fans seem to forget that the Knights were robbed blind in Campbelltown - the touchie got a forward pass call horribly wrong when we would have scored to win the game.

I wonder if the Tigers fans would be knocking us if we were on 32 points and they were on 28.

Maybe in those big games the other teams were below their best because they didn't see Newcastle as a big game? Finals football is a different level and while I can see them beating the Dogs, I don't think the Knights have it in them to lift to that level for 4 straight weeks. A lot of young raw talent that still needs a year or two to be able to do that.

The Knights may have shown they can beat any team on their day, but inconsistency is a killer, plus if De Gois is out then good luck to you.

Like I said...if we had a normal coaching season and we had 2 or 3 more wins on the board we'd be taken seriously. Hope the Dogs go in with the same attitude as you guys - we'll have the first big scalp under our belts and maybe a home game in the second week...

Knights could very well roll the Dogs, Parra could turn it around on Saints. Nothing is set in stone this year.
Can't wait for this weekend!

Cripes give the Tigers jerking a rest.
They don't and clearly didn't deserve to go into the finals, and no, I don't think they would have made it more exciting.
It's a moot point and a rather silly one considering the Knights actually play a similar brand of football atm.

And no, I don't think it is the best ever...I still like 2005.
Melbourne, Manly and Broncos kill the excitement, if any of the rest win though it may make it pretty good.

First heavy weight bout:
Blue corner: Melbourne Storm
vs
Red corner: Manly-Warringah-inbred sea faring birds.

I hate to say it , but one of these teams will be premiers.

Melbourne to continue the Dynnnaaaasty!!!

Lets get it on!!

Makes no sense, the best 8 teams made it the Knights are a much better side then the Tigers and deserve their spot

Much better? You won one more game than they did and they have a much better F/A. You guys limped into the final 8 on the back of a very impressive first half of the season. I would argue that at the moment the Tigers are a better team. Perhaps they should have been more consistent throughout the season.

If Manly or Brisbane win the comp then the year will be completely ruined for me. Anyone else and it will be somewhat tolerable. Wouldn't mind seeing the Dragons get up, just because its been 30 years and with the other merged entity being less competitive but still having won a comp, they really should be able to win atleast one themselves. Having said that if Titans win it then I'll be happy for Campbell, if Dogs win it then what a great turnaround, if Storm win it then it'd be good because it would upset alot of people here. Knights or Eels are ok, but no team's won it from 7 or 8 and I can't see that changing this year. For me its 6 tolerable clubs against 2 untolerable clubs. Don't let the maroon and white or maroon and gold filth win it! go the other 6
