Look Blake Lawrie is courageous but fringe 1grader. Have said it since his first appearance. Trys his heart out but no impact. No offload, lacks size, hits the defence line and falls over( does grab a few post contact metres on occasion to be fair ) .Then we resign him.
I agree with you. So why did Millward extend his contract?

Host was just one of many who did some good things last night only to make critical errors of judgement at crucial times. Probably deserves to be dropped but I still think he is worth perservering with.
I find it alarming that people are calling for Host to be dropped on the back of 1 very contentious penalty whilst other players give a way multiples of which many have led to tries against us.
Host has been going well as our halves have been learning how to utilise him in attack and it was apparent that the newbies in the halves last night didn't have that ability in their game.
People calling for him to have more grunt and when he shows a bit and a penalty is given shock horror calls from within the forum.
The two penalties late against him were a complete and utter farce.

Especially the last one, the Storm player should have been penalised for time wasting. This would have given the Dragons a shot a golden point.

Wow I didn't think I yelled that loud anymore but that is exactly what I said to Mrs OT and cherished Grandson of OT when that dick head ref blew the penalty because I thought originally we were getting the bloody penalty.

Easy to look good in lower grades, which he did....I've said it b4, he is a powder puff.
I thought he looked good in 1sts a season or two back. I remember him having a blinder against Newcastle (perhaps on debut). I reckon he’s gone backwards since. Hope he he continues to improve because he has potential.

Some of these personal comments against Blake & Host are coward keyboard warrior stuff. One thing for sure Host , like a lot of our young players , haven't progressed as fast as we like and i think you can attribute that to the nufty coaches. I expect that Host's body will be mature enough and have the hard edge for him to perform next season UNDER a new coaching system. If he doesn't then yes perhaps a new club is best for him in 2021.

Its more to do with the context of the game. We're down 7 to 2 in the penalty count and it's pretty clear the ref will take no sh*t from no St George player. So with the game at a critical point he does a block play which the refs have been clamping down on for several weeks. That's not aggression, that's just dumb.

The aggression was picking up that imposter Kenny Bromwich
The block play was not that bad and was on an offside player ffs.
Anyone remember that grub Smith picking up poor Alex Mc Kinnon?

No, I don't remember Smith picking up Alex McKinnon. I remember him arguing ad nauseum with the ref.

I'm not saying the block play was that bad. But with a ref caning you in the penalties, why give him another opportunity.

Dennis You nailed it even Frizz has gone backwards under this coach.
The biggest problem is that Mary wants then to play a certain way and to not change. He had them all in set roll and dose not want them to play or even think outside of it.
Unfortunately that will not change .

Samy that's why we are doomed no matter who comes to the club , it's easy for other coaches to to play us as they have now worked out the way Mary coaches, and know nothing changes .......

Even if they get rid of him management has to go as well

Seriously, people in here have no clue of the game and how it pans out.
Every coach in the NRL, and yes that includes Bellamy, Bennett, even Mary, has players running an escort to protect the catchers. So if a player doesn’t, then the coaches would blow up at them during the week at the video review. If they get penalised, then the supporters blow up at the referee. But hey, let’s just blame the player because the Storm, who we all know get favourable calls 90% of the time, get a penalty in a game at the end. In fact, let’s call for the player to be axed because we all need to have a big boo hoo about it.
It’s a flavour of the month penalty. Referees decide when they want to call it.
If the kid just stood back and watched Dufty get belted by Hughes, then what would you experts say then???
The club isn’t low on the ladder because of one game. Nor is it because of one penalty.

If Dufty got belted we either get a penalty or just maybe have possession anyway.
The kid you mentioned just should of kept running back towards Dufty without looking behind and changing his line...he would of got in the way naturally if he pinned his ears back to naturally get in the way. Especially when you get penalised for the same thing (different player) in the 1st half, it is called game awareness.
