James Roberts to the Broncos (now Souths)

I'm just happy that an up and coming coach like Bennett has been given a bit of a roster boost so that he can make the team competitive. It's only fair that if you lose an Origin player you should be allowed to replace them with a guy who has played, or will likely play, Origin or for Australia straight away...

I don't think the Knights even have 17 players who have played first grade in their squad for next year. We've lost Kurt Gidley (450k), Beau Scott (500k), BJ Leilua (300-400k) and a host of other lesser players to replace them with Hodkinson on 600k and Mickey Paea on a pie and coke contract. And apparently we have no room for anyone else. Most of our money went into fending off the Dogs from the Mata'utias and Brisbane for Gagai. Apparently we had to trump Brisbanes '300k' contract with $575k under our own cap to best their offer. Impossible to compete under these circumstances. We pretty much pay double of players, or just watch reserve graders run around for us. Or both, it would seem.

Hunt played like 2-3 games for Aus and probably won't again any time in the near future, Reed hasn't played for England in years, Nikorima, Kahu & Glenn only play for NZ when there's injuries. And representing Samoa, Tonga & Fiji is hardly a notable accomplishment.

The only real rep players you listed are the first 4.

Id like to not be paying a full 100 cents on the dollars for the "honour" of having Beej play for us

Correct...and Saints lost 7 of those players the following year. Broncos came within a whisker of taking out 2015 , and make their team stronger. that's TPA's working for you.
