Well they haven't said it's just for the 1 week, who knows, maybe he'll get the half a season out of first grade he deserves.

Would love that to be the case, but I highly doubt it.

And I honestly don't think they have the depth to do that in the ref ranks.

Or a satellite could have fallen out of the sky and landed on the field

They would have been heavy favorites to win with the ball 10m out, and they were robbed of that chance.

They just had the ball 10m out and with a scrambling defensive line and still f**ked it. Knowing Cronulla they'd have just derped it again.

Its common knowledge that the Tigers just received a massive helping hand to win on the weekend off the back of a call that was 100percent incorrect. Im not saying they wouldnt of won if the correct call had been made but they would of been in a much much worse position, if you can't see that you are in denial.

Mate I have said in many, many posts that the sharks were the better team and deserved the win. Obviously they got an extremely terrible call that no doubt went a long way to the tigers winnig the game. I also said I thought the penalty that gave us the set for benjis try was a harsh one. I don't think I could be any more unbiased with what I've said about this game.

I'm just saying with the way the spastics on here are carrying on you would think wests have won the penalty count 37-2 every week for the past 10 years

I agree with all of that. The Sharks dominated most of the game and were very unlucky to lose.

Every team in 2012 will get beaten on the back of a crook call or two. It's a fact of life, the good sides usually have enough points in them to protect themselves against a crappy call but not all the time

Most games the crook calls even out if you look at the whole 80 minutes but people tend to focus on one clanger. Let's face it even the perfect bill harridan made some clangers

Good teams beat bad refs.

Biggest furfie of them all that one.

So i suppose Melbourne 06 when Locky had the knock on of the year... they just weren't a good side?

Laughable opinion.

If this had happened to a media darling team there would be an uproar of epic proportions.

Imagine if it had happened to Gus's panthers, bloke would be screaming the house down.

Bad decision, did we have chances to win the game certainly.... Should we have been able to win the game...most definitely.

But i love how people like yourself hide behind cliches and throw away lines like that.

Bout the same as saying every 50/50 call eventually evens out... which again is laughable.

Well I think that is under rating the Tigers a bit. We were clearly better for the last part of the second half, but hardly dominated most of the game.

We played stupidly, and we were unlucky. I'm sure there were calls both ways that fans can disagree on.

Maxwell has been dumped to show accountability, and I suppose it should help keep the referees in form.

But, how can a rule be "forgotten" with 5 officials at the game? It seems unbelievable. The rules are hard enough to enforce, and this doesn't help referees at all, but they definitely need better communication on field so that things like this are less likely to happen.

What? I know the refs. favoured the Broncos heavily in the game but can't recall any incidents over a Lockyer knock on.

Refs. had a shocker at Leichardt. Tigers may have just gotten the better of it, but the Sharks got a few calls there way too. One of them lead directly to points.

Maxwell is a horrible ref, always has been, always will be.

In this game he made a wrong decision that did favour the Tigers. It was a crucial call and probably did cost the Sharks the game. He did the same in the Warriors semi final last year, where I thought it was a horribly one-sided ref performance that the Warriors did very well to overcome.

Does he purposely favour the Tigers? No. Is there a directive from the NRL to favour the Tigers? No. To suggest so is just absolutely ridiculous. (So yes, shut the f**k up Skeepe). Maxwell is just a shit, incompetent ref full stop.

IMO it is a simple case of the fancied sides often getting the favourable calls. The Sharks have been on the wrong end of poor referring for a long while now. It is unfair. The same happened to the Tigers pre-2010. Maxwell was the same ref who was tackled by a fan at Campbelltown Stadium a few years back for yet another horrible officiating performance. In fact before last year I would say Maxwell HATED the Tigers, as he used to cripple us every game, and I used to cringe when he was appointed on Tuesdays.

Clark should be stood down while investigations are made into his communication with Flanagn on Sunday during the match as well
