Correct call in axing Maxwell.

Doesn't mean that particular decision cost the Sharks victory. They could have thrown an intercept the very next tackle OR lost the ball OR missed a field goal.

BUT the decision did immensely aid a Tigers win.

There's no doubt the call was a shocker and given the context, probably cost the Sharks a victory. However, I reckon the Sharks first try came off a forward pass and the advantage call against Galloway following the Sharks' knock on in the first half was very questionable.

Obviously not, hence why they conceeded two penalties.

The belief that the penalty count should be even is stupid. A team under pressure (usually the losing team) will give away more penalties, and is why the penatly count usaully favours the team that wins the game.

How people can point to an un-even penalty and blame the refs instead of their own team is just plain dumb

well actually no they didnt concede a penalty for that, the tigers won the game off that, they also scored the match leveling try off the Houston penalty which should have gone to us if anything. How can you even comment seeing as you don't even have a clue about the match of referring to?

Or a satellite could have fallen out of the sky and landed on the field

They would have been heavy favorites to win with the ball 10m out, and they were robbed of that chance.

exactly

but we should have had the ball. not them.

Yes. If the Sharks were to rightfully lose that game it should have been because of their own incompetence ... not the referee's incompetence. They weren't allowed the opportunity to screw up.

And to make matters worse the Sharks never got the ball back after the bad decision.

Well to some limited extent that is what happened. The decision to shoot for FG on the 1st play whilst surrounded by 100 Tiges players wasn't the smartest. However the opportunity to redress the error was, wrongfully, denied them.

shouldnt have kicked it.

i can wear losing on our own mistakes.

but when the ref intervenes with a rancid turd of a decision. you just have to wonder.

^it lets the fans think that the refs are being held accountable. In reality it wont do much since its not just one or two bad refs, the standard of refs is low.

Well they haven't said it's just for the 1 week, who knows, maybe he'll get the half a season out of first grade he deserves.

They don't have the refereeing depth as it is....

Yes it's unfortunate, yes he should be punished, and yes he will be back sooner rather than later.

I don't know why everyone is so surprised? The NRL is a haphazard poorly run not even level playing field competition in nearly every facet.

Why would you expect any better?

The biggest problem is that it deserves to be such a great game....alas.

No mate, it's commons knowledge that the tigers have never had a had a bad referee call go against them in the past 74 years

Its common knowledge that the Tigers just received a massive helping hand to win on the weekend off the back of a call that was 100percent incorrect. Im not saying they wouldnt of won if the correct call had been made but they would of been in a much much worse position, if you can't see that you are in denial.
