Jarrod Croker: about to destroy record books near you

King Ricky has decided that Prince Jarrod should play his 300th at the palace rather than in the slums.

Let's hope he doesn't reach for the remote in the next 2 weeks and get stuck on 299.

Canberra to put 50 on the tigers including a triple by the new centre, with sticky to then elect to keep the lineup on form

I thought about this scenario the other week. Love it! Give the bloke a home town game.

Sheensy can take next week's fixture and shove it. Game 300 is important and shouldn't be wasted on the Tigers.

The greatest BYC to ever play the game. He'd probably do three ACLs on the goat track at Leichhardt.

I dont get some of the complaints I've seen about this. Its not like Croker is Wighton or Papalli. He's barely a first grader, but a club legend. Give him 300 at home - he could probably do with a week off anyway.
Yep. A human decision in a professional sport that takes itself far too seriously at times. Always had time for Croker and this will mean a lot to him and his family.

I heard Stuart say it in the post match press conference and I was a bit surprised to be honest. I understand the thought behind it but by the same token it is unusual to say the least.

On Grandstand yesterday someone pointed out this same thing was done for Slater's 300th. Backfired because they ended up losing the game, to the Tigers no less.

I don't think losing the game is that big a deal. 300 games in the NRL is a great achievement and whilst a win would be ideal, there are games where it should be about those who've lasted and contributed over a long period of time.

I understand the decision & dont think its a major issue.

But I can just imagine the outrage on Fox/ NRL 360 by Crawley, Rothfield and if the Kent was still there though if this was Ivan Cleary, Tim Sheens or someone else not in the back pocket of journos making this decision.

They would be called disrespectful and so forth.

But Ricky will be hailed a genius.

Bizarre decision.

Unless you are guaranteed top four going into the match you shouldn't rest a fit player.

A loss on goal kicking could mean alot in the end of season wash up.
