Our verdict: Would they want him back? In a heartbeat.Do they have the money available? We doubt it. It was only last week they were forced to release Nathan Peats to become salary cap compliant and with Corey Norman yet to re-sign, funds will be tight. To make the move happen, they would need to offload players and that could get messy.

I agree with you in that we will have room in our cap due to releasing players and so many off contract. But I'm not sure it is a 'one off loading.' If the TPA's were deemed illegal this year and they carry over next year they too will be included in the cap as they won't suddenly become legal again. However with so many players off contract and being let go we should be able to manage.
