Apparently 7 mate could show 14 of the 49ers 16 games if they wanted to. Not sure if 7 mate show them live, do they seriously play every game on a Sunday?

The Daily Telegraph is reporting Seven has entered negotiations to tailor a Hayne-specific package this season but as it stands the network can already show 14 of San Francisco?s 16 games this season on 7mate if it chooses.

Last year they were showing three consecutive games on Monday morning (Sun US time), the last one was usually the same game that was on ESPN Sunday Night Football.

There's no obvious reason why they couldn't pick the feed from Niners games most weeks.

Have you never heard of the movie 'Any Given Sunday'? There is a reason it is 'Sunday' and not 'Weekend' - basically MOST games are played on a Sunday.
49ers do, in fact, have 14 of their 16 games on a Sunday, and from the TV guide you pasted, it looks like 7mate is showing 'em all live.

Some of the more knowledgeable NFL heads can set me straight on this, but I'm pretty sure it is Thursday night, and Monday night football as the options?
Pretty sure Friday and Saturday are the days set aside for High School and College football.

Correct.

College football (not the top level) starts this Saturday in the US. On ESPN Sun Morning.

Which channel on Fox covers NFL highlights and when is it on? I'm assuming it's ESPN.

Sportscenter on ESPN shows all the highlights of the games. It's on at various times throughout the day.
NFL website also has some highlights.

Brian Mitchell on Jarryd Hayne: “He switches the ball from 1 hand to the other and uses the other hand to stiff-arm .. That’s a lost art.”

For f**ks sake, really ? I'm keen to see a full game now. So far a heap of them come across as one dimensional shirt grabbers

There are better tacklers (although not always on special teams) and teams will adapt to him. The other 'lost art' I reckon they should utilise with him is the secondary pass. Imagine he makes a halfbreak into the back field, safety comes to tackle him and he throws one of those cut out passes to the wide receiver to run the rest of the field untouched.

Honestly I think 'Merica would go into meltdown

To be fair, switching the ball from one hand to the other is something of a lost art in league too.

So many guys have the ball in the wrong hand as they approach the defence, or when they are trying to score. I know it is a simply thing, but both those are all instinct and natural ability when thrown into the cauldron of a new scenario.

Ok I need to ask this: the Yanks are harping on about him running lower. If fact in the 49ers forum that Suity posted, they were saying that they are worried for Hayne's well being as he could he seriously hurt if he does not learn to run lower.

Please explain ...

Basically, running lower brings your centre of gravity down lower, makes you harder to topple over. If you run upright (like Jarryd does), it is easier to get hit up high and hurt, rather than leaning into the tackle and taking the force of the hit better.

Yeh, it's the same principle as in league. You expose your ribs if you run high.
