I consider this forum as football related conversation that we would have hanging out together. I'd expect anyone else to share if they had similar info.
Agree. It's been good discussing the possibilities of which alf may not stay with us, based on the info you've discussed.
Isn't that what forums are for or is it a place to just put shit on Pou, stalk Suity or be agenda driven like phantom?
Mates put shit on each other too... some mates occasionally imagine they are being stalked, and most mates have strong opinions. All good.

Our captain is not in a good place mate. That's all I'm saying. I bet you it comes out this week re: his future with us. Just what I've heard mate.

Reading between the lines, if there is something to come out "re: his future with us", that would indicate he doesn't have one. If he was staying, there would be nothing to "come out".

You said one of our halves, I talked about both - Norman and Foran :?

Fair enough, hence why I spoke about the possibility of losing either/both.

Personally... I'd keep Foran because he's under contract, and not re-sign Norman (even if he remains eligible to play NRL in 2017).

There is a 3 strike NRL policy re: drugs. Why wouldn't Norman be eligible in 2017?

Well if we let Junior go following a request for a move in the interest of his welfare, then letting Keiran go to say Newcastle - if he requested it - wouldn't be out of the question if they could afford to cover the contract for the remaining 18 months?

I know you have heard similar. Where I was today everyone was talking about it.

Depends on the penalty if he loses his case. Depends on the view of the allegedly possessed muscle relaxants being consider "recreational" or considered a masking agent? Depends how many strikes he's used up (knowing that strikes are different to criminal charges)?

If he is eligible to play, whether he stays with us in 2017 depends if he and his manager are happy signing for $700K instead of their asking price? And depends whether the club wants to keep that offer on the table all things considered.

Mate to be honest, I haven't heard anything about Foz's future except that he has had his op on Friday and BA is of the opinion he (Foz) isn't too bad following it.

Heard nothing firm about Hayne and nothing about club considering flicking Foz.

Don't think the club want to flick him. It's more him.

I know Foran has some issues at the moment, but I would prefer a Foran / Hayne combo than a Norman / Hayne combo.

Foran is more the steady handy (with good on field leadership) while Hayne / Norman are more individual type players.

Arthur you could say moved heaven and earth to bring Foran here, I find it very strange, that within the space of 4-5 weeks that his admiration for Foran as a player has suddenly changed.

Let's be real here, until the salary cap drama unraveled, we were cruising just fine. Arthur knew about Foran's issues before I believe, he worked through them and we were playing great footy and Foran was a big part of that.

Now cause the sky has fallen at Parramatta, along with everything else Foran has been in rehab and is now out for the year I just cannot understand how Arthur would be considering moving Foran on so soon, doesn't add up to me.

On Norman, BA wants him to stay, his said that, also knowing about Norman's issue, which I have heard Arthur had warned Norman before to tread carefully. He hasn't, so the offer has been taken away until the court case is over. To be honest I think the case will be nothing and he will get off, the offer will be in place and Norman will re-sign.

My issue is with Hayne, moving players on for the sake of a guy who has been out of the game for 2 years, we have no idea what sort of form he would be in, he would have to practically redesign his body into a league player again, I find it very very risky for all the money involved in it.

My point being is things were fine from round 1 to the Bulldogs game, only after everything went down everything else became an issue. So it it wasn't really broke why would we be trying to fix it? Yes we have lost Peats, Paulo and now probably Gordon and De Gois, why don't we strengthen where we need to? A prop or 2 or a hooker.

If Hayne could come and we could keep Norman and Foran even better otherwise I think it's just silly.

If he does return I don't want Hayne at 1. It's 6 or nothing from me even though as Colonel pointed out he would probably want the number 1 jersey back. But do we lose a potential star in Bevan French to appease Hayne ? I say no.

If Hayne did come back and make a fist of 1st receiver in his first 3 months, he would nearly be a shoe-in for Origin in the halves next year - something NSW has been lacking for a long time.
If he comes back and plays fullback, he still has to overcome Dugan for fullback (or end up on the wing or in the centres).
