Jarryd Hayne Is Awesome

Panthers supporter here, but i thought Hayne was easily the best player from either team on the field tonight. Greg Inglis probably would have been better if he had played the 80 minutes, although Hayne was terrific.

He made two intercepts at times when QLD looked definite to score, one of which he managed to run the length of the field and score. Potentially an 18 point turn around with his intercepts.

If he looked lost at fullback it was no doubt due to half the team around him having changed and blokes not being comfortable.

Please tell me what defensive things she did to stop Qheersland from scoring an additional 12 points?

Well the intecept was a 3 on 1 situation and qld would have scored, Hayne also caught and brought down Falou off his intercept. Hayne shone on the wing when the rest of his team looked like duds tbh.

ABsolutely, and little more.

The intercept came when the ball was thrown straight to him.

The second try was absolutely No Try. How in the world that was given I'll never know.

Switched to fullback and, as has already been said, absolutely went missing. Apart from when he was throwing balls to Williams that were ridiculous.

She can play off the cuff football and that's about it. Still cannot contribute as a team member. Looked good purely because the rest of the team were sh*t.

Tonight's game did nothing but reinforce my opinion of her.

First try again 3 on 1, he did brilliantly to take the intercep and then out run guys like slater. Notice not 1 suppore player form the NSW team... Hayne was the only player to show any passion IMO.

His second try was a no try ill agree because ODonnold took out Falou but i dont think Hayne would have been stopped anyway. Hayn probably relized that we had nitwits for halves and had to do everything himself.

Hayne look more dangerous at fullback aswell, and almost went in for his 3rd try only to be brough down 1cm short of the line (mind you he shouldnt have go close). I would have Hayne at fullback for origin 3 with no second thought. These types of comments by you HJ just show that you have the blinkers on when it comes to Hayne.

caylo - just put it in your signature and ignore him. He is only trying to get a reaction.

Agree that Hayne looked dangerous in patches at FB - but it was ridiculous that he wasn't more involved from there. What sort of team fails to recognize that their best player is now roaming 2 passes wide?

Barrett used Hayne as a decoy a few times, and other times the service was slow. If you watch those final 10-15 minutes you'll see Hayne moving around plenty, but just not getting the ball from Barrett and Wallace. And the one time he got decent ball in the opposition 20 he darn near scored.

Hayne was magic, awesome and should have been the man of the match again.

We are so lucky to have this home grown star in our team. Parra can definately build a team around him.

Hayne needs to be signed ASAP.

He needs to be a priority signing. If it means getting rid of Inu and a few others, so be it.

Does anyone know when he is off contract?

and people on this board ratheredburt over him, i wonder if they will stand up hahaha

theres some bad judges of talent out there, and there are some absolute morons who try to claim Hayne is average. Best player for NSW two games in a row, but hey Burty has tried for 10 years.

For Hayne's first try.. who cares if the ball was thrown to him, above him or behind him - fact is.. HE CAUGHT IT and ran over 80 metres to score!!!

For his second try, regardless of any alleged "obstruction" fact is, Jarryd put himself in a position to score it and he did!!! And I actually don't believe it was an obstruction. the players were all leaning over the line and if we wanted to get technical.. the Qlders were actually offside because the players are meant to have their front foot on the tryline and not in front, but i'm not going to split hairs on it. it was a great effort .

Was Poore poor?

Got through a mountain of work but was ineffective, so yes he was poor IMO... although I thought Weyman, Kite and Poore were all dominated upfront in the first half, Poore was probably the best of the three.

It would have been close between the Poor and Weyman, IMO Weyman was dominated more than Poore (was laid on his ass a few too many times) but Poore had a bad defecive lapse which lead to Falous trie. Only forwards that went foward was Watmough and ODonnold.

Team 3 should be

Hayne
Morris
Morris
Jennings
Grothe
Barrett
Mullen
Poore
Wing
Weyman
Hindmarsh
Watmough
ODonnold

Ennis
Creigh
Kite
Galloway

Sparky you have Burt in the centres (no chance), KK behind both Mortimer and Kelly (no chance) and left the Captain out (statment said he will be here and if his at the club he'll be in the 17). You also spelt Fuifui wrong...
