He has proven that he can still be an elite player, so an upgrade is not out of the question.
However, he has also proven that he is also injury-prone, so does that bring him back down again?

I would prefer to keep him. He is a great player and anyone we could possibly replace him with would be a downgrade in talent. I’m just hoping we don’t get screwed into paying big bucks for a player who may only play half a season. I know it’s the risk you take with all players, but he came back to the NRL two years ago and has only played in 32 games over that time. That’s a bit concerning.
Playing it out on social media isn't the answer, regardless of his on-field abilities. Now, I don't really care where he plays. He'll probably end up in England. Makes sense, shorter flight for the court case and all. Besides, playing pommy footy, he may be able to do a 2009 cameo.

Agreed. English rugby league is probably about 10 years behind us.

Neil Breen was won radio, this morning and said the issue was simply that JH was after a bigger contract than the last one, the club have offer the same and his manager has told him to wait and see if he can get an increase.Went on toe say , that the club said there's no justification for upping the contract, whilst he came good in the last 6 games ,the club still finished last.

No idea if that is the absolute truth, but how it was reported on Macquarie Sports Radio.

that would indicate that we have in fact offered him a contract which he has rejected

In his tweet the other day he said "5 weeks and still no contract "

some one is telling porkies

Yep, an incentive-based contract would be ideal.
Base salary of around $500k, but bonuses if he plays a certain amount of games and hits certain kpi’s.

Of course he probably wouldn’t agree to it, but worth a try.

how the f**k do you manage a salary cap if players are on incentive based contracts ? what if they do well and meet their objective and you bust the cap to make your commitment to them
