Bar the Roosters and Panthers I feel we are not that far behind the rest.

My hopes are

Tepai and Lane break out. It is likely they improve. Chances are they do.

Gutherson gets back to 2017 form after knee injury. His last 6 or so games showed he was starting to. Also very likely.

MJ,Norman,Moses find form. They can't be as bad as 2018. None are too old to not be able too.

Brown,Alvaro,Terepo stay in form and slightly improve. Very likely as all hitting peak years.

Ferguson and Jnrs addition boosts our attack. 100% will happen.

Suprise packets -
Evans,Kafusi,Brown,Salmon,Sivo,Mahoney,Niaukore. Any of these could play out of skin and add something to the side.

The biggest concern is probably Moses,Norman,MJ finding form. The best part however is we have some options there with Brown,Salmon,Dunster,Sivo,Parry all having potential to become Nrl stars.
The odds that all 3 play as bad as 2018 are incredibly low. Id expect atleast one to have a great season and the other 2 to be passable. Players with that class dont become flops in one season.

Something isn’t immediately a better purchase just because it costs more. To be a better purchase the value to cost ratio needs to be higher.

How much do you realistically think Parra would have to pay to sign Cronk or Thurston for one year? To determine it is a better purchase you must have chosen an arbitrary amount. What did you settle on? $1.5M? $2M?

How good do you reckon Thurston and Cronk would go in a shit team? The fact is you don’t know because you’ve never seen it with Cronk. But the Cowboys have had a couple of shitty years even with Thurston in the side.

They’re good, but they’re made to look better than they are. Norman probably looks worse a lot of the time.

Cronk is the ultimate professional. Corey the ultimate party boy. I have no idea what Cronk was being paid at melb, but I suspect it was around 1-1.1 mill. Not far off what Corey is about to get. I know who I’d rather give my hard earned to.
