No and Manu is still a great forward. Runs hard. I'd have him off the bench. He just turned 30 and hasnt had is body smashed for 10yrs in first grade. Played 5yrs in the NRL.
His last 8 games before injured he made well over 100mtrs in 7 of those. Made over 30 tackles in 6 of those and broke 25 tackles amd 3 line breaks. Add 9 offloads and 3 tries.
His form was as good as its been in career. Yes he started the year slowly but so did many others.

You keep saying that (mostly as a criticism it seems), however Mahoney's situation has been clarified many times.

You're missing my argument. We have 28 players and only one recognised hooker. If Pritchard replaces Mahoney as Avenger indicated, we still only have one Hooker in the squad.

So position 29 is really only going to be a hooker.

Mahoney will 99% likely take position 29 in the roster, which leaves us only one spot left. Why would we fill that spot in the middle of November when we don't have to until the end of June?

Meaning there is no spot for The Plane until we get rid of someone. The salary cap space is fairly irrelevant.
