Nothing that Jarryd said was wrong.
You mean that your version of the book says he said nothing wrong. Their version of the book apparently says otherwise.
How do you know that your version of the book is right and theirs wrong ?

My idea of God is not some dead Jew in the sky as depicted in Renaissance art. My view is that it is about a powerful energy which keeps it all together. Now whether it has consciousness or not is a matter where people have to decide for themselves. Can I ask a question? Do we need to have a body to have consciousness? Why can't God be this energy or life force with a conscience but without a tangible body like yours or mine?
Sounding a bit like a Pantheist there Avenger, an idea with which I have some sympathy.
Beats the hell out of the Old Testament god, who I find a bit of merkin (too much smote-ing and stuff, too jealous).
Because my version was written post the crucifixion theirs before. Something written after an actual event is usually more reliable than a prophecy.
The Bible was written over a period of 1400 to 1800 years by more than 40 different authors. The Bible is a compilation of 66 separate books, divided into two primary divisions: the Old Testament (containing 39 books) and the New Testament (containing 27 books). It is believed that all of the books of the Bible were written under inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Link
I think he would have made a great real estate salesman, or maybe even a used car salesman. He seemed to be able to get people to believe what he said, that is of course assuming he actually existed.
There is no proof of any of this.
Gronk
Do you believe that Jesus was just a really good motivator perhaps a spiritual leader and not divine? Is that what you think?
My thoughts ?
Jesus = Cool story bro.
Twiz even Richard Dawkins the greatest Atheist of them all accepts that Jesus Christ walked the earth.

When you say X is the fastest growing religion, all you mean is that X people have babies at the fastest rate. But babies have no religion.

How dare you force your dopey unsubstantiated superstitions on innocent children too young to resist? How DARE you?
Don't tell your inlaws this Gronk or no more cevape and rakija for you.

Not sure if when he said that, however I know he said this..
Fair enough, each to their own.
I didn't appreciate the brain washing I copped at school and when I was old enough to question it, that was the end of my belief.
I have no issue with other people believing what they want. My biggest issue with Catholicism is the money.
If Jesus said, "lay down your earthly goods and follow me" which according to the bible, he did, then why is the catholic church one of the richest corporations in the world, with Hillsong rapidly building its bank balance.
It should never be about money but the churches are just so greedy and so rich that I think they would do better if they were poor, at least they would be more convincing.
I agree with everything you say here. Christ himself when he walked the earth was furious at market stalls outside Jewish temples selling religious objects. I'm not Catholic mate, I'm Orthodox. The originals. Yes, my religion is not perfect and makes money too but I believe in God first and foremost and nobody tells me that I must give money to anything. That's up to me.
<cough> Cost me a small fortune in "donations" when my 2 kids got Christened at a certain SO church.
