Saw that article this morning Gronk but I call "bullshit".
I mean how can someone who only just decided to go to the NFL on Tuesday have been training with the local grid-iron team in secret for a month?
Typical Tele-Crap bullshit.
wasn't there speculation hayne would be trying nfl a few weeks back? he may have made his final decision only a few days ago but that article suggests he was strongly leaning toward going a few weeks back when the rumour mill started churning. hope he hasn't based his decision on how he went against a bunch of pecker head uni students that play the game.

will be interesting to see how hayne handles the locker room culture of the nfl should he get signed by one of their franchises.

Not the person you would want next to you in the trenches , campaigned and used his influence to get the current coach to the . Then doesn't have the strength to tell him that he would leave at the end of the year, and then waited until the coach was on vacation, leaving the club with an almost impossible time frame to utilise his cap room

There are some in here that expect us all to worship that decision, it leaves a real bitter taste. I hope he succeeds but can't support him , HJ saw through it all, he is an inward focused person, and the timing was unprofessional and hurtful to the kids and fans of the club that paid him millions over the years

I am a Parra fan, not a Hayne fan

Nobody expects you to worship the decision, we expect you to get over it. If you think this proves Hayne has a poor attitude then why can't you see that the club is better off without him?

I'm sure we will get over it in time, but right now, emotions are taking preference over logic.

He was our man. He was our saviour. He was our greatest source of joy and pride (in football terms), and he showed us loyalty to stay.

And now he is gone, and it happened so fast. It also left huge question marks over his integrity and passion for this club.

Logically, him leaving is good, but emotionally, it will take some time to process it.

I'm sure we will replace him, but will we find a guy with his varied skill set again? Probab not.

Pou, what I am really pissed about, is that the selfish prick did it at a time which hasn't let the club explore all the signing opportunities it could have. Imagine if BA had known $800k was freed up to spend on recruitment at June 30.

That is the issue, friggin Gen Y, Hillsong follow the dream bullshit, little consideration for the outcome of their actions

I'm 29, and this criticism of Gen Y sits badly with me because I'm the opposite to Hayne - I tend to put others' needs above my own.

Moral of the story is not all Gen Y's are evil.

It's beacuse you are from the Balkans and a lot more grounded. My boy was sad on the first day and today he said, "f**k him dad."

:D

I was disappointed - but after hearing how he has been training in secret and thinking about it for two years, I agree with your son. f**k him.

Ha Ha love it Avenger.

Seriously, what happens if Jarryd does come back in 2016? As he has an agreement that he will only play NRL with us, would that mean we would be no chance of getting NRL assistance to get him as a marquee player?

It might depend.
If Hayne tells the NRL that the only way he will come back is if he is playing with the Eels, then they might have to give him an exemption.
Dave Smith will want him back playing in the NRL any way he can get him.

Yeah, you care about yourself and your own needs so little that you felt the need to defend yourself
