Jodeci, when you state things about the goings on within the club in such a definitive and righteous manner is it because you KNOW these to be true or because you BELIEVE someone who told you?

It seems that the authority with which you post alot of stuff on here is indicative of you actually being a senior member of staff at the club which I know you are not so either you have access to the biggest sieve in the joint or your opinion is just that, despite the fact you post like it is fact.

WTF are cameras following Hayne around in LA ?

I'm over it already. Call me when he's on ESPN with a helmet on.

While I like Mannah and think he is a very decent human being and footballer, he is now the last of a generation of defeatist players at our club. We need to move forward with winners and I think Peats, Watmough (hopefully) and Hoppa can be players to do this.

The only issue I have with Tim Mannah being re-signed is that if he is going to be your big gun forward leader then you are going to struggle up front. We need to sign front-rowers better than Tim Mannah, if Tim Mannah is going to be any kind of value to Parra.

Mannah is the only player remaining from the 2009 GF.

Now that's what you call a clean out.

It's definitely the end of an era. I was each-way on the re-signing of Mannah, I think I still am. In hindsight it might have been better to move him on and have a completely new team in 2015. I'm really interested to see what sort of squad we have for 2016 to be truthful.

1. Gut feel
2. Hear
3. See
4. Get told

I'm no different to Stagger or anyone else. I'm a fan like everyone else. I support the club like everyone on here, I'm no bigger of a supporter than anyone.

I'm no different to the bloke who runs his own web site.

People can have opinions. That's the beauty of this site.

You can either choose to ignore what I say or read it like how I read everyone's posts on here.

Mannah is our best forward he just needs players around him to lift. If he had tats, bashed his wife or was sent off occasionally for stupidity he would be seen as the hard nut we need.

Mannah is a quality first grader and a great 'face of the club' type captain. He's one of our best forwards and would make the top 17 at any club.

There are bigger, more aggressive props, but Mannah is very mobile and defensively safe. He just needs to be paired with a line breaker like Paulo or Wicks.

I went further on in another post about having other players around him to provide his best for Parra.

Mannah is also the only current player eligible for the long term player discount, and he'll be the only top 25 player eligible for the next couple of years I think.

http:// http://espn.go.com/espn/feature/story/_/id/11717596/is-kobe-bryant-reason-los-angeles-lakers-downfall

When I read this article I could immediately sense some similarities between Bryant/Lakers and Hayne/Eels situations.

Teams that invested a significant portion of their caps in a superstar with a massive ego. Multiple coaches being fired over a significantly short period with everyone/thing being blamed bar their superstar for a series of seasons with poor results. This might be a strech, but players choosing to play elsewhere because of perceived attitude problem with the superstar.

The article goes on to say that successful modern teams in the NBA are the ones that have players that are willing to sacrifice their egos and stats for the betterment of 'the team', and is critical of the Lakers for reupping with Bryant. We have let our superstar walk. I suppose only time will tell which is the right decision.
